I have been a priest fan from back in the 70's when they opened for KISS and no one knew who they where, but for an album that was suppose to be their "Darkside of the Moon" they fell way short. The only reason this album will get any sales is because it's a good price for a double cd and you can get a free ticket to a show. I find most of the songs boring and too much like a bad movie soundtrack. Hope the next one is back to the Priest we remember.

I give an album 5 stars if it has at least 5 songs that are great enough to make it into my permanent collection (into my iTunes/iPod). No question, Nostradamus nails it. 5 Stars.

This album is artfully done and the boys have laid down everything they've got in making this one. I have everything by Priest, but I don't continue to listen to every song. I don't need "Parental Guidance", etc. If you love all of Nostradamus, God bless you, but for me, I'll be listening to just the following tracks a hell of a lot!:

Dawn of Creation, PROPHECY, Awakening, PESTILENCE AND PLAGUE, PERSECUTION, ALONE, Shadows in The Flame, VISIONS, NOSTRADAMUS. This makes it a 42 minute mega-epic album.

ALL HAIL PRIEST!

I know the songs, i have listened to them back to back in a good audio rig, the new against the nineties remasters, and really i do not hear THAT great difference spelled in other articles.
Indeed certain frecuences were leveled in this 2007 job, but the old remasters sound very very well. My recommendation - buy the complete studio works box, the old live The song remains the same -read my review about the brutal trimming Jimmy did on majestic songs. -, and How the west was won.
Also, Page declared remixing the instrument and voice tracks would take ages in the studio. There was no remixing as mentioned somewhere else.

This Led Zeppelin album is one of those albums that's a little hard to classify since virtually every style they've been known for is represented. It's also the beginning of unconventional artsy album covers as there are no pictures of the band, nor does the name Led Zeppelin appear. In the days of LP records, only the lyrics of "Starway to Heaven" could be found in the inner sleeve and the 4 individal symbols for each band member. Technically, there's no official name for the album, though fans have called it "Led Zeppelin IV" or "Zoso" or "Runes" or even "Stairway to Heaven."

Led Zeppelin's second record 'Led Zeppelin II' was released in 1969, just a few months after their debut 'Led Zeppelin I' came out. The record was apparently written and recorded in just three days. Most bands need up to six months to write a record full of decent material.

But not Zeppelin. Three days was all it took. Songs like 'Whole Lotta Love,' 'Heartbreaker,' and even 'What Is And Should Never Be' are classic rock radio staples.

And, in 1994, Atlantic digitally remastered this. The sound quality is superb!

If you are a fan of the blues, listen in for songs like 'The Lemon Song' and 'Bring It On Home.' Those songs were heavily influenced by Delta Blues. Plant's vocals are mighty fine.

I came of age while this music was fresh and current. It was all around me: on the radio, at parties, at friends' houses, college dorm, bars, restaurants ... everywhere basically. My affection of their music was rekindled with the publicity surrounding their reunion on 12/10/07 and I downloaded the bootleg online. Shortly after, I purchased MOTHERSHIP but after giving those disks a few spins, I realized there were too many gaps that needed to be filled and this set was the only solution. The only way it could have made this better would be if it were packaged in an LP-sized box so that the album artwork was in its original size rather than thumbnails.
