Ten years after his last great, or even good, CD, ECHO, Tom Petty has finally made another masterpiece by reuniting his pre-Heartbreakers band, Mudcrutch. If this band had succeeded in the beginning, Petty's music would have been the link between West Coast country-rock and Southern boogie-rock. It's nice to see a rock superstar go back to his roots, and moreover, Petty's advocacy of sanctions against Indonesia in retaliation for that country's trumped-up 2005 drug-smuggling conviction of a young Australian tourist makes MUDCRUTCH an essential purchase for both your ears AND your conscience.

This is the Def Leppard album I've been waiting to hear since Retroactive. I think this is up their with Pyromania and Hysteria, which is something I though I would never say about another Def Leppard album again. I can honestly say there is not a bad track on the disc in my opinion and it just gets better with every listen. A perfect summertime CD, which won't be leaving my player for awhile. If you're a Def Leppard fan at all, then do yourself a favor and enjoy some of the best rock tracks of the year!

As a lifelong Snake fan, I was both worried and excited to hear the new cd. After one listen, the worry was gone and the excitement was doubled. Coverdale and his gang know how to rock, music is fun again! I think Got What You Want is the ultimate rocker and an instant classic. Hear The Wind Blow rocks and the slower End of Time will be around for a long time. Not any filler going on here. The guitars are smokin' and if you like to have fun listening to music, run to buy this cd and you will not be disappointed!! Can't wait to see them live!

I was shocked when Chris got eliminated on the fifth season of Idol. So when I found out he was releasing an album I was one of the first in line. It did not dissapoint. All of the tracks are hardcore rock without being screechy, and unlike Bo's debut the album actually showcased Chris's amazing vocals, especially the track entitled Home ( which is one of my favorites). This album is defenitley worth a buy and I can't wait until his next one comes out!!

Shine a light, is the soundtrack of the movie with the same name. I didn't see teh movie yet, but as a Stones fan, I have to buy this record. But in a collection it is not essential, there is nothing new!
Release Date April 15, 2008
For a band that's known for its technical prowess and studio-perfect sound, it's ever been amazing how fantastic they are live. While this CD doesn't live up to the raw beauty of A Show of Hands or Exit Stage Left, it's certainly nicer to listen to than the Rio set, which was just too harsh. And the new S&A songs are just perfect - just what you'd expect from some of their best studio stuff since Counterparts.
The setlist departs a bit from the US setlist, and the 2nd CD doesn't come on quite so strong. But CD #1 is just amazing, and worth a few loops before you move on.
Get it. Enjoy it. There's only so much new Rush left, after 34 years.

Having listened to "Ghosts I-IV" several times, I'm now left with the daunting task of trying to gauge my overall reaction, which I suppose could be summed up with two words: underwhelmed, perplexed. I'm not quite ready to write Trent Reznor off as an artist as of yet, but, on the horizon, I sense that day coming. It's not there wasn't the potential for something good to have been created here, because, obviously, there was. It's just that Mr. Reznor gives the impression that he simply couldn't be bothered. What disturbs me most about this collection of starts and stops is that, during some of it, I found myself being eerily reminded of New Age music--you know, the stuff they have you listen to when you get a massage. There's no doubt in my mind ... Read More:

This album is a headbangers gem!!! It features the return of Alex Skolnic and Greg Christian, whose guitar and bass work make this album soar with feroricity!! I've been a Testament fan since the 1989 Practice What You Preach album, and these guys never cease to amaze me. This band has been loyal to it's fans, and has never sold out!! If nothing else each album they come out with keeps getting heavier, and better!! Metallica should take some hints from these guys! This album reminds me of earlier work such as Pwyp and the New Order, and recent work such as The 1999 album The Gathering. Chuck Billy's voice never sounded better, and it's a good thing he won his battle with cancer. This is a brutal thrash metal album not for the faint of heart. The track that stands ... Read More:

Audio quality wasn't up to par with modern CDs. I bought this for a couple of songs but I'm not a big Seger fan overall. I think these songs are best remembered and not purchased. If you must, buy a single from iTunes or something similar and save $10.
