Good CD. It plays like the 2Pac song "Changes" all the way through: Very politically and racially inclined. There's a lot of good material here to think about as you enjoy the music. The songs are catchy, and are very well produced. I think it's definitely worth a buy. A lot of good writing. Check out "Hero" and "America."

This is not a review as such of Kanye West's "Graduation" album. Not a whole lot more that I can say about the album that hasn't been said somewhere in the hundreds of other reviews here. Instead, I wanted to comment on the disaster that was Kanye's performance at Bonnaroo in June, which I witnessed first hand.
Kanye was originally scheduled to perform at 8:15 PM Saturday evening, at the same time that Jack Johnson was scheduled to perform on the main stage. Claiming that he wanted to make sure it was dark enough for his stage show, Kanye requested that his set be moved to a 2:45 to 4 AM slot at the main stage (even though by 8:30 Central time, it's pretty much complete darkness). His request was granted (this was the first time ... Read More:

I will let you know I am going to review each song individually and than I will give an overall rating of the album. I am being unbiased even though I am a g-unit fan
1. Straight Outta Southside- this is a great way to kick off the cd. This showed me G-Unit is not all about selling records as they kicked off the cd with this because most radio stations would not play this because of the explicit lyrics. I will say its awesome to here the tribute for Sean bell well deserved and everyone on this track killed the beat was sick and just a great song. Song Rating 5/5.
2. Piano Man feat. Young Buck- What a solid second song for G-Unit here. Coming off something really hard and than moving to something softer but having Young Buck on this ... Read More:

I should not have to write a review for this album For this album compares to the Beetles White album or Mozart. what fans (and Non Fans) of the Wu-tang Clan do not really realize is this album was a necessity for the east coast during this time. a lot of artist and albums after Enter the 36 pretty much copied this formula of lyrics, Beat making, and even group affiliation. back then it was unheard of to have Nine Emcee's (who all had an exceptional level of skill) in a group. but since this album, you had the boot camp clique, Flipmode squad, terror squad, and the dirty dozen (commonly known as D 12). Lyrics took a dramatic turn to be way more metaphorical. Rhyme schemas were influenced, story telling became more dramatic, Beats became more raw & more ... Read More:

When examining the over-the-top gangsta posturing of mainstream hip-hop in the past 15 years, it's easy to see why some cats neglect to pay homage to one of the golden age's finest. This album single-handedly popularized hip-hop in all aspects of mainstream music, as it was the first #1 album in hip-hop history. Rick Rubin's uncanny mix of old school party beats over highly memorable rock samples is one of the most copied formulas in hip-hop history. It stands as some of Rubin's most memorable and excellent production ever. The production isn't the only reason this album was as wildly successful as it was. King Ad-Rock, MCA, and Mike D were three of the most relatable emcee's in history. They were a tight-knit crew of white party-loving fratboy-type dudes that appealed ... Read More:

i've enjoyed this cd since it came out and i dust it off every now and then when i want to hear real hip-hop lyrics, not this stupid stuff they play now that people only like for the beats. i like every track on this cd and it will continue to be one of my favorites.
