Very plainly put, it's just DIFFERENT than the "old Coldplay", and has quite a new "mix" of sounds and implementations, including Chris Martin's vocal range. I've listened to it twice thus far and think it "grows on ya" and because it has varied sounds, the more you listen to it, the more you could "sorta get into it". I think it's a bit "limited" though, in some sense (as in, when/where you would want to listen to it), whereas before it was ALWAYS good listening to Coldplay. Another point for me is that I don't want to have to "work so hard" at "trying to listen to" any band, just to find it's saving graces (which does NOT mean I'm a non-appreciator of music, since I AM a musician and lyricist personally). Nineteen of ABBA's best songs are plenty, but you won't tire of them. It is amazing that four Swedes (Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus as writers and Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Fältskog as the main singers) could take such simple English cliches and turn them into pop music magic. Despite sometimes maddeningly simple lyrics, the song arrangements were unnervingly catchy and the multi-level layered compostions are fascinating. The keyboards and synthesizers were used in some of the more ingenious ways during the seventies to produce that unmistakeable ABBA sound. Ok, I'll admit it... I'm 28 years old, I have no children, and I LOVE this CD! This is the most refreshing music I've heard in a long time! A friend of mine let me borrow their copy and I was thinking, Miley Cyrus? Seriously? I expected annoying pop kiddie tunes and instead, I find an extremely talented 15-year-old! I love every single song on this CD and cannot stop listening to it! She reminds me of Avril Lavigne - and in a good way! I highly recommend this CD for all ages! :)

this album is a lot more straight forward than beck's other albums but it is still amazing. its a lot different than his other stuff which was, lets say, totally revolutionary. but this is still a direct hit

I am so dissapointed in this album. I'm one of those fans who choose not to listen to an album until I have the complete package in my possesion. What a mistake I made by buying this album. I should have just downloaded this one for free, because that is what this album sounds like...free music. It's nothing I was hoping for. There are only two good songs on the whole album, and the "whole" album is way, way, way, too short, and further more way too expensive. Trent Reznor has finnaly lost his mojo. Don't listen to all of these die hard NIN fans...they don't have the huevos to dis on Trent...trust me, this is a poor NIN album.

Emmylou never fails to deliver and on "All I Intended To Be", she continues to use that magic voice, beautiful melodies and a heart-crippling "All That You Have Is Your Soul".

I would suggest buying this album if you are a long-time fan....see the change Emmylou has made from the 70's until now, she is truly a rare gem.

Okay, for those who are serious music freaks (as the undersigned) who are constantly surfing on the Web (or in CD stores) looking for something different to fill their ears, some good news: There a lot of 'new' female singers.

Some names: Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse, Regina Spektor, Lily Allen... Even the actual Premier Dame du France, Mme. Carla Bruni, has become an acclaimed "new" singer.
... And there's Duffy too.

Honestly speaking, I think that the desperation for finding the new Mega-Superstar of Music in the 21st. Century (considering the lack of real new Megastars in the level of Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion or Whitney Houston, not to mention Diana Ross or Aretha Franklin) makes us believe that any of these nice gals is truly a 'superb singer'... ...
