Saw this group in SF at Stern Grove. Went to the event to see Si Se (who was wonderful), thought they would be the headliners. Was surprised that this group was the headliners. They had so much energy and fun on stage. Bought the CD as soon as I left the concert, the CD is equally fun. I haven't a clue what they are saying, but I love the music!!!!

this is an awesome album,but I would of liked a little more of the darkages flavor (just my opinion), but Marc Rizzo's guitar work is awesome again. another great album from soulfly. the dvd live performance is awesome. a must have for any fan of soulfly

Al principio noté la voz. La voz que ya no era tan buena. Con menos poder, diria. Asi que me dije, esto es lo que ya ha hecho 500 veces, solo que no tan bueno, un pequeño nivel para abajo. Pero despues de escucharlo 3 veces, o era que lo estaba escuchando en Europa? alla, donde a uno le puede venir la nostalgia, senti como una quebradura. LM estuvo enfermo. Aparentemente de la cabeza. Y se nota. Hay unas emociones quebradizas en su voz. Es que me saco las lagrimas. Una pasion en cada nota. Obvio que hay que escuchar este disco, no dejarlo ir. Hay que prestarle atencion, como a un niño que llora. Pero que vida! Tanto que no puedo escucharlo demasiado, cada vez, me lleva a lugares que no conocia. Got excited each time Sergio Mendes releases an album as I have been a fan since his Brasil'66 days. Uptempo, jazzy, bouncy, catchy, pulsating
and many more descriptions could not describe his works. The uber excellent "Brasilero" is still his benchwork in tune with today's upbeat music. "Timeless" with old and new collaboration is also a great classic. Then,we expected more. And now "Encanto" only fulfilled 50 percent of my expectations. The first six tracks got me going, then, it slowed down after to typically Brazilian jazz/samba mood. Wow, what happened. The best and outstanding track is "Lugar Comum" with Jovanatti rapping in Italian and I could not stop tapping my feet.
What a fresh feel. Overall an enjoyable album.

Jesse is simply awesome. Can't really get too much of him, but for some reason I can't stand track 13 Toca Orilla. Must be me. This is a 2cd set so one bad song out of 26 isn't bad hey?
