This CD is so beautiful--I would be happy to own it even if I didn't have children. We have 5 month old twins so it's too early for us to know if they like the cd, but I'll be surprised if they don't. I even gave it to another friend as a gift.

I fell in love with the fantastic sounds of Andean folk music on my trip to the beautiful country of Chile last year. As our tour guide drove us through the fertile valleys and hills between the high Andes and the Pacific Coast, the flute sounds gave us the feeling of travelling back in time with the indigenous peoples. I ordered this CD so that I could evoke the wonderful memories of a lovely vacation. It does exactly that and I love it.

I bought this album, after listening to Inkuyo's previous work "Land of the Incas", and as of then, this music has captivated me. It is not drole or banal, but the type of music that you can play over and over and still enjoy it for what it is. I think of all the history behind the music and that makes me want to listen to it much more. The musicians are extremely talented to reach such complex melodies and still keep the listener waiting for the next note. Kudos!

My husband and I buy many Italian CDs so we think we have good judgement after so many purchases. We were somewhat disappointed in this CD. Every song has the same instrumentation and basically sounds the same. We wonder even if the mandolins are "live" or just canned, they sound so tinny and the same each song. This CD could have used more feeling, romance, whatever...possible had there been some sensitive arrangements with solos, etc. Instead, it was the same bunch of mandolin sounds which made for a very boring CD, in our opinion. A few vocals would have helped the monotony, too. Would not recommend.

I've been a Death Metal fan since I got into Cannibal Corpse back in 1991. Incantation was a band that I never really got the chance to get into, for whatever reason. I decided to buy this one. I must say, it is good. I love it, because I was looking for dark stuff, and this definitely fits the bill. My one tiny complaint is that the vocals could have been better mixed. As it stands, even while reading the lyrics and standing real close to the speakers I can't quite decipher the words. Again, not a big issue - I love Craig's vocals precisely because they are quite possibly THE deepest, lowest ever. But, I would've bumped them up higher in the mix, and/or tweaked some EQ to make them stand out more. Other than that, like other reviewers have said, this ... Read More:

I bought this CD in order to become eligible for free shipping on another product. The Music is fine... but not outstanding or anything. I have another Andean music CD and compared to that, this is OK.

You will certainly not regret your purchase especially considering the price.
