Well first off im sad to see Phil Coulter getting involved in such an overproduced mess. Secondly, if I wanted to hear a country song (Desperado) I'd listen to Johnny Cash, and if I wanted Dire Straits I'd listen to Dire Straits. The huge number of covers on this album shows you what it is, its not a band but a cover group. Why all the hype, you can see this kind of act in any bar, this one just has a higher production budget and a kid.

Celtic Thunder is a wonderful group of young men who's voices are soothing to the ear. I really enjoyed this DVD. I am very please with the price I paid for what I got in return...A great show by 5 talented performers. I highly recommend this DVD to anyone who enjoys this type of music. Their concert is excellent!

I am such a die hard vanfan. Van Morrison is a musician and a poet. That voice of his just does something to me. The way he sings about sunsets, foghorns, spirit and lost love is just incomparable. Once you start getting lost in his music, you cannot stop.
Van Morrison is the only one whose new releases I will buy unheard.
His only album which does nothing for me is "A period of transition".

"Whole Thing" was being played in some store. I recognized Peter Gabriel and thought that the song was great, so I bought the album. Never imagined the whole album would be so good! I guess the "Big Blue Ball" is planet Earth, and great music is what comes out of it. Papa Wemba vocals and flamenco guitar, Sinead O'Connor and Chinese percussion, a Madagascan rapper, the ethereal "altus silva" (perhaps my favorite) with guitar synths and Papa Wemba's band. Absolutely original world music, out of this world!

After listening to the samples on amazon I was not holding up high hopes for Great Big Sea's latest album. It already struck me as sounding over-produced and not as organic as most of the GBS albums. Being a loyal GBS fan I bought Fortune's Favour and have been dutifully listening to it and I've noticed some important things. This album is a BIG mix of styles. There are tracks that sounds like 90s rock, some more like modern country, and some more traditional songs. There are a lot of tight harmonies, but the drum set and the grab bag of auxiliary instruments is distracting. I picked up this band's debut album on a whim a few years ago, and I've since fallen completely in love with their upbeat, high-energy style. The songs are ridiculously fun to sing along to, and the purely instrumental tracks are equally wonderful. This is a must-hear, riotous good time of an album--do yourself a favor and listen in! (If it works for you, make sure to pick up their previous work as well--they've been putting out solidly excellent stuff from the very beginning.)

The Celtic Women are wonderful artist. They are very talented and give a great performance. I am very pleased with the price I paid for the product and what I received in return. It was well worth it! I recommend this DVD to anyone who enjoys Irish music delivered in this nature. I enjoyed the show very much. There is expressions of love and romance in thier music. I was very satisfied.

It's hard to believe that these women are so talented. They take your breath away. I can honestly say they are as good on this CD as they were in concert. Some songs are so incredible they bring me to tears. Great gift item to give that special person in your life who loves music.

If you are old enough to remember The Kingston Trio the Kings are an Irish version with all the great harmony and humor. If you like this kind of music, the Kings are a must. Amazon was great with their instant delivery.
