I've been a Kasey Chambers fan for about a month now, after hearing "The Captain" and "Rattlin' Bones" on the radio. After listening to all of her music I have to say this is my favorite CD.
Kasey and Shane's voices work great together. The instrumentation is excellent, particularly the banjo work. The lyrics are consistently interesting and well performed. There's not a weak song on the disk.
What I really liked was the wide range of styles: folk, Appalachian, rock, and some country flavors. It will hold my interest for quite a while.

I am a huge Hillsong fan, but I am not biased by any stretch. I love to worship God and get into His presence, so I treat all this music the same.
I own many Hillsong and Hillsong United (the youth worship team from Hillsong church)albums. I recently acquired "This Is Our God" and after listening to it, I think this might be the best album from Hillsong's worship team yet.
the newest release from Integrity Media and Hillsong Music Australia (Pro, This Is Our God follows the release of Savior King, the last live-recorded worship album from Hillsong's worship team, recorded in 2007, and the youth worship team's I Heart Revolution album released in 2008. I liked Savior King, but my only complaint is it didn't have as many new ... Read More:

The lyrics and melodies on this CD are so wonderful.
I listen to it often, and hope to make her concert in Seattle.
Peachy is very upbeat and fun, whereas Where I Stood is just a
beautiful soulful song.

I was at the Woodland Pavillion for the first taping of this tour, third row stage right. It was an awesome show. When they returned this year to re-tape at the Berry Center, I was there again eighth row. Both shows were outstanding, and would be hard to enjoy the actual energy that was there via DVD/CD. Some people are already writting negative comments, but take it for what is worth. The 'boys put on an energetic show and were extremely loud. I have yet to get my copy, I am just writting as someone who was there and am eagerly awaitng my copy to arrive!
As for Phil being missed, yes he was. His high pitch vocals and bass were definantly missed. But the Newsboy's stilled pulled it off without a hitch. Not many bands could get away without doing a tour ... Read More:

She is the most unique artist that I have heard. I strongly recommend buying the entire album, as every song is meaningful and a pleasure to listen to. She truly does make people happy.

As much as I liked Bright Like Neon Love with its disco inspired tunes, In Ghost Colors still has the same Cut/Copy feel with a more alternative approach. Great album. Definitely recommend it.

I first became familiar with Sia when she collaborated on some music with trip hop duo Zero 7. Zero 7's music rather bored me but I did like Sia's vocals quite a bit enough to get her first album COLOUR THE SMALL ONE. I finally got around to getting her latest cd SOME PEOPLE HAVE REAL PROBLEMS. I have been listening to it non-stop. I like the fact that her music isn't easy to categorize. It is a mish mash of trip hop, jazz, pop, and rock. The music is relaxing but not enough where I would find myself getting drowsy while listening to the album at work on my ipod. My personal favorite songs are Sia's ballads like "The Girl You Lost to Cocaine" and "Lullaby". I really like the melodies to those songs in particular and the lyrics sends chills down my spine. On a more uptempo side, ... Read More:

This cd has some good songs, some were on her (2) album and so they aren't new tracks, but all in all if you like ONJ you will like this record.
Release Date August 26, 2008
The Veronicas seemed to edge back into the scene this summer with the release of their string-infused pop track "Untouched", leading up to the release of their second album. Unlike most artists these days, 'Untouched' is actually pretty representative of what you get on the album - lots of hypercharged dance beats with a slight 80s tinge and very catchy, often-spoken lyrics. Gone are the days of the girls' quasi-whiny, chipmunky Avril Lavigne guitar-punky tunes. In their place is a great, electronic, catchy sound.
Aside from 'Untouched', other standouts include the snotty guitar-y 'Popular' and the the 80s-tinged 'Take Me On The Floor'. If you're still pining for the girls' old sound, 'Revenge Is Sweeter (Than You Ever Were)' is a nice halfway departure between the old and the ... Read More:
