I like! It's a unique sound, and very artistically put together. The vocals really are beautiful. The harmonies are edgy, and the instrumentals are exceptionally well done.

Lounge Against The Machine is an instant classic! That should come as no surprise given the vocal stylings of Mr. Richard Cheese! He is truly the voice of a generation. To take the selected songs and perform them in the lounge-style is fantastic! This is a must have for any CD collection!!!

There are so many great songs on here. I was introduced to two great Sam Butera songs, enjoyed more of Lou Rawls silky smooth voice, and gained more appreciation for Dean Martin and Bobby Darin's great voices. Great CD - all the songs are great!

From the start of Nelson Riddle's "Theme from Route 66" this album jumps out @ the listener, with this being easily one of the BEST TV themes ever produced, very catchy and very cool, more reminiscent of just a hip lounge piece and is perfect to introduce this package. John Buzon's "Caravan" is another fun spin on what is one of the several out there of this great tune, this one being played a bit like a rhumba! Line Renaud's "Sexe" is nothing special but it's very slick and is a little like something that would have come from the cavern clubs during the beat era. I can't say enough about Lou Busch's jazzy "Cool", adapted from the already jazz-cool Bernstein musical "West Side Story". This is just another good rendition offered, although here instrumental ... Ms. McKay has both a tremendous amount of talent and energy. Her voice is rather ordinary, but her musicianship is wonderful. Her lyric writing is sometimes brilliant and sometimes amateurish. often all within the same song.

Obligatory Villagers is to my ear probably her best CD so far with less low spots and excess than her previous CDs. But I think and know she can do better.

My view is that Ms. McKay needs someone like a modern day Norman Ganz to harness her immense talent into something that all can enjoy. Right now there is a lot of quirky stuff and brilliance mixed with material that's just plain dopey. It's music for audiophiles.

I rate Martin Denny's albums 5 stars. The music was cool back then and still is today, it's timeless. It transports you back to that period when exotica was very popular in the 50s and 60s, and I guess it's gaining much popularity today, with those who are into the Kon tiki culture. My family has always been extremely proud of the fact, that my uncle Harvey Ragsdale, was Martin Denny's bass player for years, and is on many of Denny's albums. My uncle was a great friend of his, and sadly, he and Martin Denny, have both passed on. Martin Denny was a great band leader, and many people who had the pleasure to personally know Martin Denny, such as my uncle, thought Martin Denny was also a great human being. It's wonderful that Martin Denny's music lives on.

I am updating my LP's to CD's and have to have this series by the Mystic Moods Orchestra.

They take movie themes, love songs, and popular melodies, play them in a full orchestra setting and dub in parts of a freak four hour thunderstorm over Los Angeles. Brad Miller included various sounds of trains to enhance the audio experience.

Fine music, great effects with a real "Man and a Woman" quality.
