Nineteen of ABBA's best songs are plenty, but you won't tire of them. It is amazing that four Swedes (Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus as writers and Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Fältskog as the main singers) could take such simple English cliches and turn them into pop music magic. Despite sometimes maddeningly simple lyrics, the song arrangements were unnervingly catchy and the multi-level layered compostions are fascinating. The keyboards and synthesizers were used in some of the more ingenious ways during the seventies to produce that unmistakeable ABBA sound. The energy and nearly anthemic enthusiasm eminating from each song marked them all as instant classics, no matter how jaded or synical the listener. It is doubtlful ... Read More:

I saw the musical while it was in Boston...I loved all of Abba's music in the story-line...My daughter purchased it for me, however I wore it out playing it...
I just love listening to all of the great songs from the play...
I truly wanted this since it is from the Musical...One of my favs for sure...
Many of us are very familiar with ABBA's songs because we have heard them often over the years. Personally, I knew of them from a distance and never researched them until recently. Living in Germany placed me in the thick of the ABBA Fan Club as they are revered here in Europe. There are enough ABBA fans here to pack any venue where they would perform, believe that. Already familiar with tracks such as "Dancing Queen", "Take A Chance On Me" and "Mamma Mia", I can now associate ever so closely with their string of hits. As a DJ, it's imperative to have a worthy compilation such as this on hand at all times. Best believe if you are doing an old school set, an ABBA fan will reveal himself to you. More importantly, this music is nostalgic and full ... Read More:

These eighteen ABBA's songs represent the best and you probably won't tire of them. I was there at the concert. The DVD and music was amazing. I love how the entire audience was bouncing and screaming the entire time. The DVD captures the concert and the sound and vocals are amazing. I noticed they edited a few extra songs out. That's the only difference i noticed. But I have this DVD and it's my favorite out of his collection. Of course everything he sings is great. Way to go Josh. I hope he comes back to salt lake again. This is a must buy for any fan.

Some night long ago, I was watching television and the commercial for this cd came on - Groban was singing "Oceano" throughout and, simple as that, I was addicted. Though filled with songs that are in Italian, French, and some other languages I can't reasonably understand the lyrics in given my history with language classes, I love the cd.
Any fan of Groban's will love this CD, and songs like "Remember when it Rained" will draw in a new round of fans.

`Abba The Movie' is for Abba-philes only (myself included). This doesn't mean there won't be some reservations for fans as well, but while the movie is carefully constructed, the results are mixed but more favorable than not. The career equivalent of `A Hard Day's Night,' Abba's feature movie splices concert footage, videos, group information with an intermittent story. The result is an unintentional mockumentary before they became invented. Filmed in 1977, the material covers all their work up to 'The Album.'
The Plot: Abbamania comes in full force to Australia where a station manager (Bruce Berry) crustily sends his country music D.J., Ashley Wallace (Robert Hughes) to get a two-hour interview with the Swedish super group before the week is ... Read More:
