This album has a different shift from Frenchfolk M83's last two albums
Digital Shades and Before the Dawn Heals us; there's no moon
romance in this album, but it still upkeeps the theatrical and
searching sound. The `youth' it attempts is filtered through nostalgia
for the purposefully fake sounds of the '80s,. This album could easily
be classified as fantasy pop music (the vocals occasionally sound sinister).
Sometimes there are obvious musical parallels to people like Phil Collins--but
makes sense with the reminiscent 80s. Play any of `em. if you flip through
the cd cover, note how each person is divinely beautiful .

The first time I put this disc in the player, I was driving home after work (I purchased this album on my lunch break). I had no idea what was in store for me.
The climax of Glosoli brought me to tears.
It was one of the most beautiful pieces of music I'd ever heard, and a mix of the intensity of the playing and the brilliance of the arrangement was simply too much for me to handle -- I couldn't help but cry.
It was the first time a song outside of the classical music realm actually made me cry because of the music alone -- certain lyrics have been known to affect me that way emotionally, but not a raw musical performance by a traditional guitar, bass, keys, drums band.

We should probably all bow down to Bill Perez as he is undoubtedly the all knowing god of all critics. Don't mind him, he just needs a hug.
Anyway, about the album. Its great stuff. Different. Trippy. Beautiful. Listen to some of their stuff first. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
I rated it 4 stars because it is MY PERSONAL OPINION. It just means its great but I like other things better.

Evolution can be defined as "the gradual development of something, especially from a simple to a more complex form." When taking into account The Notwist's expansive career, it becomes pretty simple to understand how this word applies to the band and their constantly diversifying sound. And to many, myself included, the pinnacle of this evolutionary process happened in 2002 with the release of the modern classic, Neon Golden. A flawless, masterful work of art, the album stands among an elite few that I would consider to be truly perfect. This kind of admiration is undoubtedly deserved, but can also lead to lofty, out of reach expectations. However, The Notwist are not a band that disappoints. They are a band that evolves. So while The Devil, ... Read More:

I recently bought a car and drove across the country with a friend, and as we entered the state of Michigan, he pulled out the Sufjan Stevens CD, with which I was not previously acquainted. What an amazing performance! This recording is a truly artistic endeavor - drawing on the inspirations of traditions ranging from rock to folk to minimalist art music, these songs are very original, heartfelt, beautiful, fun... the adjectives are never-ending. Driving through the state for the first time, this CD honestly impacted how I viewed my surroundings, and I thank it for that. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in hearing something new, something that once energetic and mellow.

Take one pint of porn movie music, a half cup of Burt Bacharach, four tablespoons of Brian Wilson, a quarter stick of seventies easy listening music. Combine in a pot and heat until the easy listening music has melted, stirring occasionally. Add some electronica, a vocoder, some sifted driving background music, and sprinkle with some Henry Mancini. Pour into a cake pan and chill in the fridge at 40-80 beats per minute for one hour, until it sets. Make some frosting with a half cup of John Barry soundtracks and some French flavored melancholy. Top with some Muzak, if desired.
AIR is a wonderful mix of all of these. This is one of the best CHILL albums ever. This French duo has the intelligence and artistry to take all of these and make them ... Read More:

My only real "un-favorite" Enigma album. Good for relaxation, but it seemed to me this was just a "well, we need to put out an album" sort of thing. I have mixed feelings about this album. It's the only one I don't listen to frequently, but it is Enigma.

It was impossible to find this CD at the stores. I looked everywhere. I could only find it at amazon.com. It is amazing. The music takes you for a journey into sexy, inspirational, emotional. I love the CD and would recommend to everyone.

I am completely blown away by this artist. Wish I would've known about them sooner. They would be great in setting the mood for a film. They sound like Broken Social Scene, Jennifer Charles, and Pink Floyd, and Sigur Ros. The vocals are soft and hypnotizing. Brilliant.

This is a wonderful unusual new music. Where most music is canned, packaged, and group surveyed this feels clean and alive. They are an amazing group of talented musicians, gifted singers with some amazingly alive songs.
