Garth Brooks is also another Icon in country music just like George Strait but in his own right of course. Any fan of country music should add this to their collection. Garth mixes in a little old in with a little new and it turned out to be a surperb recipe. Some of my favorite songs on here are Friends in Low Places, Callin Baton Rouge, The Dance, Good Ride Cowboy, If Tomorrow Never Comes, Rodeo, & Shameless. More than a Memory is another great song to hear if yall havent already that Garth has came out with recently. That song showed that Garth can still kick butt even with a 3-5 year absence. George Strait has filled up country radio for years. A tad more worthy than `Carrying Your Love with Me,' `Troubadour' gives fans plenty of reasons to buy his latest offering. Again featuring several fine songwriters and musicians, George gives us a quality album that covers most corners of country music.

The title track is notable enough for it's autobiographical sketch provided by songwriter Marty Holmes. "I feel like Jesse James," he shares, and "I still feel twenty-five most of the time." Most of his songs chase after women at honky-tonk bars, too. "Let It Go," is not the best country CD you will hear. Nor is it the worst. What it just might be is the stepping stone to the next chapter in Tim McGraw's career - the chapter where he's taken seriously as an artist.

No more barbecue stains on his white t-shirt and that makes some of you sad, doesn't it? Well, I guess Tim could stay the same as he was twenty years ago and we could all go back to high school and the world could stop evolving. Tim's an artist and he's trying to become a better one. This record is a huge step in the right direction.

This is a fantastic CD - in true Brad Paisley fashion! A great variety of fun, up tempo songs like "Ticks" mixed with touching ballads like "Letter to Me", and signature Paisley humor, like "Online." I bought this CD when it was first released and I recently went out and bought my 2nd copy - of the new version with "Waitin' on a Woman" on it. That was one of my favorite songs on the TWW CD and I am so happy that Brad went back to that song and released it!!! Made a great CD even better! Way to go Brad!!!!

The Dixie Chicks' came back with a #1 album and a whole ton of attitude. Opening up with the title track, Natalie Maines and her gal pals take us through heart felt confessions and foot stomping pissiness. I had heard them perform "I Hope" a few weeks before this came out on some concert show and since I did like their last album and pretty much love Natalie's attitude, I figured I'd buy this one if I found it priced cheap enough.

But then on the season finale of the TV series Medium, they kept playing this haunting little song with groovy little harmonies, "how long do you wanna be loved? is forever enough/ is forever enough?" and I fell in love. I heard Little big town on a tv broadcast about the Nashville CM-Awards and was electrified. Incredible what these 4 musicians are presenting: Fantastic vocals, wonderful guitars and many other "strings" (mandolin, dulcimer etc.) that are perfectly arranged and yet nothing seems to be "overproduced". Even some of the songs, which are written mostly by their own have the guts to be evergreens. Listen to "Evangeline" or "i`m with the band".
I never thought, that there would be ever a group, who is able to combine the particular skills of the Eagles, the Corrs and Keith Urban.
Little big town for sure can do!
In the credits Karen writes: "I like to thank God for the opportunity to share the gifts you have given to me"

Wide Open Spaces

I really love these girls and the songs on this album are incredible. Even if you don't like country I think you can find something to enjoy on this album. The songs are full of hope about love and happiness and they make me happy when I listen to them. I often have to stop what I'm doing just to listen to a song. Despite what their political history is...they are amazing and incredible artists that can't be denied - give this album a chance if you want to hear some lovely tunes.
