Although Sinatra's Reprise recordings are often too cheesy for me, this one-disc collection of Sinatra's Reprise years easily rates five stars for the historic songs and brilliant sound quality. However, the collection came without the promised first-day issue of the Sinatra stamp, despite the fact that the packaging indicated the stamp was included. A subsequent attempt to get reparation from Amazon was unsuccessful. In a nutshell, the music rates five stars, but the packaging rates a zero.

Like something good that you know is good, Lizz Wright is synonymous with impeccability and goodness. Her third album is a testament to this. The beautiful voice and the prestine arrangement; its all there and its familiar and flawless.The album starts strongly with "Coming Home" about being back from a war or the mere battlefields of life itself, then finishes with "Strange" a haunting, resonant ballad about being left behind for another. Everything in between is all good. It's a pity she spends most of the concert season in Europe. I highly recommend that you take every effort to see her live. I like Wilson. This CD was not as exciting as suggested by a review I read (in the New Yorker ??). She seems to lack energy. Too much of it was the same.

I have read several comments concerning Steve's limited vocal range, or raspy voice.. but he brings a rich quality to these songs, and I agree with one comment on how his voice is bittersweet, and he sings the songs, not with the orchestrated smoothness of the original, but as if he has lived each song. There is so much feeling transmitted with each song, and it brings up memories in my own life that the original versions never could do. A great CD.

My husband and I saw Chris Botti last weekend in Temecula, CA. He and his band delivery high quality entertainment. Catch them in person whenever you can. As for Italia, we just finished listening to this album for the third time -- in 3 hours. It is beautiful and moving. Nessum Dorma alone is worth the price.

I know I'm a bit behind buying this album now when its been out for a few years, but I own the two newest albums and LOVE them. I have to say that this album did not disappoint me one bit. I think I like it even more than his most recent albums. The songs are so romantic and sexy. If you are a Michael Buble fan and don't have this one yet, do yourself a big favor and buy it!

This album is lovely in its depth and smooth in its versatility. With shades of classic jazz standards and vocal allusions to the masters this album is by no means a disappointment. i loved the whole disc, which is rare in these days of digital over exposure.
