Good song covers, but NO "CHIQUITITA"???? I would have expected that to be part of the movie soundtrack. It's probably the best song ABBA ever did, aside from "Fernando".

I have never been an avid Coldplay fan, but this album cannot be denied the laurels which it deserves. In an era of music defined by generic punk-pop and ultra-repetitive hip-hop, this album is a breath of much-needed fresh air. Chris Martin and Co. teamed up with Brian Eno to give Coldplay's music a newer sense of urgency and purpose, and the results will surely be admired by the musical community for years to come. Songs such as "Viva La Vida" display an ethereal beauty that not only pleases the listener, but actually draws them into the music. Tales of deposed royalty and clever political commentary help make for an even more interesting listen. Flag-waiving, anthemic music at its best.

A Little Bit Longer

I want to like the Jonas Brothers. Really, I do. In fact, I was fully expecting to, given that I can't seem to get enough of Miley Cyrus, High School Musical, and the whole Disney scene in general. And honestly, it's incredibly impressive that they've had such a hand in the songwriting on this album. They're very worthy of their fame, to be sure.

It's just that I can NOT stand their voices at all. What should be incredibly good songs are ruined by their whiny falsettos, nasally vocal lines and their tendency to make those little high gasping noises at the end of each phrase. It's incredibly distracting and not at all attractive to the ears, at least not mine. Apparently I'm a minority in that regard.

My sisters and I loved ABBA from the day we heard their first song. Funny, our Parents did also. It is happy music and it makes me want to get up and dance (great exercise) and sing (yes, I am tone deaf but who cares!) I bought the ABBA Gold when it came out and I am still playing it, never tiring of the music. Listen to the music and you might feel the same way. Get up and dance like the dancing queen or king that you are and feel good to music that is not busy making a statement. Good fun - that is what we all need and how long has it been since you have had plain old good fun? Enjoy!

Eagles has issued so many greatest hits before. If you don't have one yet, this is the one to buy. For those who don't know, their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the best selling record of all time in the US! Sold more than Michael Jackson's "Thriller", Pink Floyd's "The Wall" or Led Zep's "IV". But the previous Greatest Hits does not have Hotel California, it does not have New Kid in Town, nor Heartache Tonight, nor Get Over It, nor Please Come Home For Christmas...and many more classics. This is the most complete collection so far. The band is still touring and still making records. Their latest one, "Long Road Out of Eden", though a very solid record, the only one that is clearly a greatest hits material is "How Long".

I'm writing to let you know that my pop, or uncle, is one heckuva a songwriter, piano player, whatever. And he's kinda loaded with dough too, if you catch my drift. Anything to help the old tosser along and soften his gumpy side, right? To quote Da Man himself, "it's money that I love!"

And the album? Funniest thing, I actually like it. A lot.

This album is great for kids but adults watch out.Your kids might be affected by this fast hard driven music.Intoxicating dribble!Ya know they make a fuss over underage drinking but allow this stuff to plaque our cd stores.I feel for parents today this would put me over the edge...It was You Light Up My Life that did it to me.Your call folks!

Love On The Inside [Deluxe Fan Edition]

Having only recently become a country music fan, I was introduced to Sugarland by a friend and like their two most recent albums very much. This one is quite a treat. I particularly like the rather light and fun "All I Want to Do", the excellent cover of Dream Academy's "Life in A Northern Town" and "Come On Get Higher", a live cover of a song I had never heard before. Jennifer Nettles voice is pleasant despite or perhaps because of the way she makes the shortest words polysyllabic without the jarring twang some country artists have. The music is just pleasant to listen to.
