This album is one really fine song wrapped in the brown paper covering of the rest of the album. "Waiting for my real life to begin" is the greatness of Men at Work that we all knew and loved. Beyond that song, Colin Haye really needs to find a song writer...

This single is a great part of the Nine Inch Nails collection. I would say after buying all the major releases of theirs get this and "fixed" first. Closer to god, is not just another remix of closer, but a whole new version of the song. A lot heavier I might add. the other remixes on the cd are very god, 1 even is almost like an acoustic version. Also the album has "memrobilia" a soft cell cover.

Ah a Nine Inch Nails Single/Halo from the days of the Downward Spiral. The Downward Spiral is my favorite Nine Inch Nails album so I figured I would like the singles and expand my halo collection. We have 5 songs, one of which being March of the Pigs, two remixes of Reptile, a March of the Pigs remix and a new track titled a Violet Fluid. Keep In mind, this single was released before the actual Downward Spiral album, so it's rather odd having two remixes of Reptile, which at the time would have been a song no one had heard.
1. March of the Pigs 10/10: The song later to be put on the album, it's a wonderful classic in my opinion.
2. Reptilian 8/10: Why is it that most NIN remixes drag on much longer than the original? ... Read More:

When i first heard The Perfect Drug, I was blown away, it's an amazing song, so I of course snapped up The Lost Highway soundtrack and then this CD when it was released. To my complete surprise, The Perfect Drug was not on the disc! In it's place were 5 unrecognizable remixes. Sub-par at best, this release was a great disappointment, and while the remixes were not all bad, they did completely wreck an otherwise beautiful song, and that is unforgiveable. So needless to say, this CD single is best avoided unless you a fan of the remixers or a NIN completist.

This EP is great, don't get me wrong. But if you buy this EP expecting it to sound like Isn't Anything, or Loveless you're very much mistaken. This EP was released before MBV lost their minds (in a good way) and started playing around with the guitar sounds they would come to be known by. The songs are very well written, but they're more pop-rock and only shoegaze in spirit.

To be honest, it wasn't what I expected, but I still enjoyed the video, because it brought situations that are affecting young adults to the forefront, so I applaud Sigur Ros. Though I wouldn't classify this as a complete CD, just a few pieces of some great work perfectly orchestrated together.
As for all the criticism on the video Viõrar Vel Til Loftárasa, I personally feel like this video was releasing that part of life that was troubling someone for a long time. The crying out inside of the bitter memories, entangled in the joy and in the happiness that his surroundings condemned. This is seen not only by the father figure in the video, but the Rev., and the bible, the people at the game, and praying before hand, also the fish representing the ... Read More:

Well from my star rating, yes! Yes it is. But seriously not the best. If you like club type remixes of politically energized songs then this will suite you just fine. I mean .... it's Nine Inch Nails, heck yea!!!

Let's face it, fans of the artist: While NIN has a lot of worthy material, the "Pretty Hate Machine" singles were only made for completists. Where others sometimes had authentic B-sides/covers, and actual interesting remixes, this was from a time when "interesting" and "remix" were an oxymoron.
I'm not a big fan of remixes, and I'll admit that the majority of the rest of the disc is very average, especially coming from NIN. "Get Down Make Love" raises the thing up a star. It's a pretty good cover of Queen that does not try to ape Queen. This song is the only thing that most people usually mention on the single, too. There are also three uninteresting remixes of "Sin", but I sort of like that "dub" mix. It's nice to think of "Sin" as a dub song. I am not a purist who hates ... Read More:

The Day the World Went Away is just one of several examples in the Nine Inch Nails collection of Halos that is really only purchasable for either its collector's value or for a single, outstanding track. Here, that track is "The Day the World Went Away (Quiet)", a solid remix of the song that appears originally on The Fragile. The track begins quietly and with newly recorded vocals up to its standard form, then drops off and spends the last several minutes in an even quieter setting, in a bit of an unconventional song structure (well, perhaps not so unconventional for Trent Reznor). But besides this nice remixed track, there's not much else to speak of for this CD. The other two tracks are basically lifted from The Fragile in their original forms with some very minor additions and level tweaking, ... Read More:
