I just bought this reissues LP this weekend! and having seen only one review of the vinyl reprint i thought i would add my 2 cents. 1st the packaging is great these LP make CDs look boring, nice gate fold and you can see all the art work that is so small it the cd booklet and now it is huge and awesome. 2ed the sound That is my we are buying all this s@#t again right! Sounds great the highs are higher and the lowers are lower just like my life j/k! 3ed it is just a cool thing the have and revisit. I think the whole ritual of putting the record on sitting down and listening to the recording instead of driving or washing dishes or working out or what ever. This is the best album cover ever in rock and roll history as far as I'm concerned, the music inside is just gravy. Nothing could top OK Computer, so Radiohead didn't even try - they very wisely went in a completely different direction into almost another genre altogether. OK Computer is basically a straight up rock record but Kid A is pretty much electronic music. The first song, "Everything in it's Right Place" is one of the best in Radiohead's live set - it sounds much better live is what I'm trying to say - but the studio version is still very captivating, especially with good speakers. "How To Disappear Completely" almost matches the intensity of "Exit Music" from the previous record. I think the peak of the record is "In Limbo", maybe the ... Read More:

As far as lo-fi goes, this took the sub-genre in a whole new direction. Not for everyone, and you'll be hard-pressed to find hit single potential in any of these early 90's noise pop-rock confections, but the lyrics are strong, with a strong Anne Frank theme throughout. If you enjoy this kind of music, you will fall in love with this album. It's as simple as that!

Nobody really actually enjoys listening to Radiohead. They just pretend to so that they appear to be hip or intelligent. I guess if a bunch of random noise put together to appear "deep" is your thing you should buy this album. If you have any taste stay far away. Thom Yorke is also the AntiChrist.

Siamese Dream [Vinyl]

This album is simply beautiful. IMO, Smashing Pumpkins is one of the great bands that came out of the 90s and honestly, no band today can compare to what Smashing Pumpkins was able to do. Their music is so distinctive and unique that you know when it's a Smashing Pumpkins song you're listening to.

Some of the songs on this album: Disarm, Today, Rocket, Cherub Rock, and Mayonaise. Frankly, the entire album is awesome, you can't go wrong buying this album as all the songs are incredible. I'll just give a few thoughts of a few of the songs I mentioned.

I think Disarm has a pensive and somber tone, with the strings giving an almost bittersweet sound, and of course Billy Corgan's unmistakable voice that just makes the song perfect.

If you like Rob Thomas and Matchbox 20, you will probably like this album. Unfortunately for me, I don't like simple beats and simple guitar riffs with catchy-esc lyrics. I am a huge Oasis fan and will continue to love their previous work but this album didn't do it for me. I wish I could say that one song on the album was new and exciting but right now, I give the album two stars.

Brief but blistering early live documentation of the group who, back in their earnest heyday, made terms like "arena-rock" seem powerful, UABLS might not have been the landmark early live disc fans were hoping for, but still offered ample reason why this sound should be documented (particularly that of Edge's fascinating textures). If they would have put a little more variety into their classic renditions and added a few more choice live cuts the disc could have been necessary (something they are apparently trying to remedy with the upcoming remastered double disc).

I am a Cold Play fan... I think I own all the US released disks; not including imports.
Their musical style is a blend of The Police/Sting & U2... two other groups I appreciate.
I like all the tracks on Viva La Vida.
There are 9 songs with an average run time close to 4 min & 20 sec.
Most tracks are mid to up tempo.
But with a total play time under 40 min, the disc seems to fly by and I'm always left wanting more.
That's part complaint & part warning, but at the same time, the high quality makes up for low quantity.
If the teaser tracks appeal to you, buy this disk with confidence.

Loved the first two records but even 'Because Of the Times' was beginning to show signs of 'rockstars for Pepsi' tendencies (as Bill Hicks would have put it).

More importantly though, just what can you do if your sex is on fire?

1. Remove all flammable materials from the area.

2. Have a fire extinguisher handy.

3. Roll around on the ground, just like Caleb does in the video.

4. A cold shower will work (on two levels).

5. Maybe you should have considered a flame retardant lube beforehand?

6. If this is a recurring problem for you, abstinence may be the only way to go, sorry.
