How could we not recommend the work Time magazine rated as "Best Album Of The Twentieth Century"? By the time of the recording of this album, Bob Marley had become an international rock superstar and a household name, preaching redemption through peace and compassion (and the consumption of copious amounts of ganga, a Rastafarian sacrament). The world was hanging on his every word, and he did not disappoint. Exodus has a sense of time and place, not to mention purpose. Songs like the title tune, "Guiltiness", and "The Heathen" provide the gravitas and paint pictures of a difficult world. But lighter fare such as the irresistable "Jamming" and the sunny, now-classic closer "One Love" keep the overall tone of the album balanced and optimistic. ... Read More:

Saw them live at a wedding last year. Awesome live and on cd. Their music reminds me of the 80's but the ska and reggae is timeless. Good for any mood.
Release Date July 29, 2003
I received this tape and a Yani tape and neither of them work. I tried them in several places and they still did not work. I am extremely disappointed since I spend a lot at this site and have been happy in the past with books I have bought. This is my first time with CD's. I will send them back soon.

The Specials may not have been the first band to combine the lopsided danceability and dreamy warmth of Jamaican music with the raw aggression of punk, but they did just about single-handedly define the look, sound, and feel of the second wave ska scene. They nailed the aesthetic, sporting very mod clothing and very cool porkpie hats. They also founded the key label: 2 Tone Records, created by organist Jerry Dammers, is the quintessential English ska punk record company. More importantly than that, they sounded great. Their music was infectious, ferocious, and fun, full of raucous joy, violent intelligence, and social outrage. Released in 1979, the group's self-titled debut isn't just a ska punk classic; it's one of the very best rock albums ever made. ... Read More:

I have been buying the Warped Tour Compilations since 2002, and this years compilation is yet another that I am happy to add to my collection... But, the only regret I have about buying this 2-Disk set is that certain songs are edited when in the past songs have not been. I don't know if this is pressure passed down from record executives who only agree to put the albums without parental advisories if they are edited, or not... if that is the case I would rather have them put the compilations out with the P.A.S's, while also offering edited copies as well. Growing up in a household where the only CD's I could own as a child/teenager were the ones that were edited I agree that parents reserve the right to keep their children from listening to lyrics they find unacceptable. ... Personally, my favorite albums were the first three. Although I felt that this album was full of energy, it was different. It was much more fast paced, and movement. Either way, it was quite excellant, and it certainly is a unique sound from the previous three.
Top songs for me:
1) Lonely Moon
2) Won't be Afraid
3) So Many Nights
4) Wanted to write you a Love Song
5) The Darkness
6) Fishies/Til the ocean takes us all.

THE CAT EMPIRE from Melbourne began making music as a trio in late 1999 playing enthusiastically to crowds in the jazz clubs, festivals and bars in their local area. The band was the dream-child of front man Felix Riebl & included Ollie McGill on piano & Ryan Monro on double bass. From the very beginning they had a very unique & distinctive sound.... that, 'Cat Empire' sound!!
Back then the music was all instrumental and only a few extremely rare CD's of their sessions in Melbourne's 'Sound Lounge' (& later in Ollie's sisters bedroom) exist but are hard to acquire... (thankfully, I have them though) but by the following year they were joined by a young Harry J Angus on trumpet/vocals, a SUPERB drummer, Will Hull-Brown & on decks & percussion Jamshid Khadiwala. ... I think it is very sad what happened to the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. They started off with the best intentions and sadly something fell apart in the machine. Their late fan-base of young kids and main-streamers is quite likely clueless (no pun intended) to the gem this band once was in their youth. For a few short moments, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones were a band synonomous with good times.
In the early to mid-90's those Taang! recordings and even the first major label full length disk were one of the most FUN little secrets in music. It was just... fun stuff. I repeat the word FUN because no other word seems to fit better. The Bosstones in the early days were wild. College radio loved them, great clubs like Trenton City Gardens and the Trocadero in Philly booked them practically monthly ... Read More:
