The clarity of this "soundtrack" is simply amazing. MTV did a superb job with the setup of this event. I was blown away when I heard the cd version, but hearing it with my cheap Yamaha equipment in DTS took it to another level. It is a shame he is still not around; what an amazing talent this guy had. RIP KC.

Many punks do not concider Blink to be punk rock. I'll have to go ahead and disagree. They had the pop-punk sound. It just so happened that they became a supergroup in the late 90s. I never here any one diss greenday who sold more than blink. I do agree that Scott Rayner was better drummer than Travis Barker. I do believe that Buddah and Dude Ranch are blink two best records. I do believe that Emema of State and Take of Your Pance Jacket are punk albums. I do not like their self-titled 2003 record as much. I do believe Travis is a clown.
The Mark Tom and Travis show is a live concert recorded in San Diego. It has all their hits and fan favorites. "Carousel" , "untitled", and Pathetic" are my favorite songs off this cd. "Blew Job" , and "The ... Read More:

Really a disappointment. Alice in Chains' harmonies have always been what made them so compelling, and those aren't as strong in this live set as on their studio albums.

My first way over-long Amazon.com review of Rhino's 2004 double CD extended version of "The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads" was an unfocused diatribe concerning the dynamics of the group that eventually split them apart, and may have resulted in this CD package being, shall we say, not quite the masterpiece that it perhaps could have been. It is 98.9 percent perfect, a glorious representation of America's most important and influential post-punk new wave art rock band, an idiom that Talking Heads more or less invented all on their own. If nothing else, this CD package is a glorious representation of their development from a (first three piece then) four piece idiosyncratic proto-punk band into the musical powerhouse Pop Art rock band that produced their big hits. I never had the album "back in the day", but I've heard most of the songs at one time or another. I thought the sound was very good. This is an excellent album and gives a good snapshot of Lou Reed back in his prime.
Release Date September 07, 1999
I put this CD on my surround sound and feel like I am there, burnin' down the house. Great for every body who was born in the 70's. Keep on jammin.

I'm going to take a different approach to reviewing albums on Amazon. Instead of going in depth on each album and describe each album in detail, i'm going to simply rate each album with how many stars I feel each album is worth based on the below criteria. I hope this helps you make a better decision on purchasing this album with a simple individual rating. If it doesn't help read another review.
5 stars- Classic, Album goes beyond description, Perfect in every way, Could remind you of a certain time or place, Lifetime replay value.
4.5 stars- Near Classic, Incredible album, Maybe only one song that is skippable or just overall doesn't quite deserve classic status. High replay value.
4.0 stars- Awesome album. Very solid album from start to finish. Met every ... Read More:

This is one of the best live albums I've ever purchased and I think every one who likes pop/rock like Counting Crows should get themselves a copy, because the band's perfomance is extraordinary good - both of the performances!
It's a double live album which contains two live recordings from Vh1: Storytellers and a Mtv gig. The first is kind of an unplugged acoustic concert which is more quit and philosophic - also because of Adam's lyrical adds to the songs and the bands new interpretations of the songs. This is an individual decision if you like this or not, but I love it! The Mtv concert is more loud and the songs are more the ones you know from the albums, but still you feel the band's energy and you understand why they are such a popular live band.
The album contain ... Read More:

I'm not an oldie Sweet Children fan, but I'm not an American Idiot newbie ether. I started listening to Green Day when I was ten, when I believe Warning came out. I than started storing and stashing all the Green Day Cds, from Dookie to Warning into my crappy cd player and playing the cds over and over again, memorizing the songs and singing them to my heart. Than I moved on, that is, till Green Day's American Idiot Album came out and hit stores with a BANG! I listened to the cd, found it nice and very catchy, like a lot of Green Day albums, but with a different new flavor. Green Day jumped past its Warning and Nimrod to a whole new level, and everybody in the world took notice.
As we all know, Green Day had evolved from being Sweet Children, punky little kids whom played at "86," and ... Read More:

This is one of the best (for lack of a better term) hard rock albums ever released. Completely underrated and overlooked. I've had this album for 20 years and have listened to it more times than any other recording. Also check out Brutal Juice's "Mutilation Makes Identification Difficult"
