Hands down one of the best we'll ever see. When Dick Gregory puts you in a class with Mark Twain and Richard Pryor in terms of funniest ever, that says something. I found a copy used at a Newbury Comics, and for half off, and after listening, I would easily pay the 70$ for this collection.

This is one of my favorite Carlin's and I was lucky enough to see him live performing most of this material. I love the place for my stuff monologue "going up in the airplane looking down at all the little places full of stuff." The fussy eater always reminded me of things my mother said and along the way George interjects his hilarious "announcements."
Along with Class Clown and Toledo Window Box, this is one of the best early Carlin discs to get!

If you're only familiar with George Carlin through his aggressive, vitriolic, and occasionally vicious latter-day material, early work like Class Clown may come as something as a surprise. On first listen, the album seems almost mild mannered. Not only is it free of the machine gun profanity that would come to mark the comedian's style, but the material itself is a far cry from the raw cynicism that would inform You Are All Diseased and Brain Droppings: The first track, for example, is an epic recollection of Carlin's schoolboy antics, full of cheeky observations on knuckle cracking, funny voices, and armpit noises. The whole thing captures him in a seemingly friendly, genial mood. Of course, Carlin was never innocent. He always had a dirty mind and ... Read More:

Steven Wright with his deadpan humor is my favorite comedian. He makes me laugh outloud which doesn't happen very often.

This is one of those things you throw on when you need to come out of a funk; Always funny no matter how much you hear the material. I am not huge on most comedy albums, but to hear Jim ramble on about hot pockets and being lazy is a pure joy. From guys drinking KFC gravy to his umbrella theory, this CD is packed wall to wall with great, fresh material. While not for everyone(he has a style you either like or you don't...), those unfamiliar w/him should check it out...Plus the bonus DVD of his first Comedy Central concert and other stand up routines is priceless. A great deal too! Pretty much timeless material. I could relate to much of what he was talking about. I think he is one of the funniest guys out there!!

I order this as a christmas present for someone who has everything....it turned out to be the perfect gift....this person had been to a rodney carrington concert and was thrilled with the cd.

For anyone thinking of buying this album, this is very funny. If your a first time lister of his comedy or a regular listener, this album is worth the price. If you like this one, try any of his other works.
