I wonder what idiot thought up this idea? Why don't they have the bands do covers of songs that are actually good and any Crunk song is not. Punk music is slipping slowly into a coma, and true bands and true fans need to bring it back, or well live in a world where every punk band will all sound like fall out boy....GOD HELP US !!
Release Date May 09, 2006
Punk goes Pop is my favorite album, so my expectations were way high for this one. It was such a disappointment. This music just didn't do it for me which is sad because 90s music is my favorite.

For Brett Schoffner, thank you for turning reviews on music into a political forum, but since you did. Bush is the worst president we could ever possibly have and 9/11 was his baby. Amazing how the trade center is the only steel building in the world to fall from being hit with a plane. And quite a few actually have. And it fell in only 15 mins. A building much smaller in Spain was hit with a 747, burned for two full days, and still didn't fall. As for the Pentagon. The hole left in the side of the building wasn't nearly big enough to be made from a 747 and amazingly that "plane" was the first plane in the history of the world to completely "vanish" from a crash. Do you have any clue how hot that plane would have had to have been to just burn ... Read More:

The 80's were memorable to say the least; in fact, it had an air all it's own. The music has stood the test of time, and still holds fond memories for those who lived through the decade. Apparently, the bands who appear on this album grew up in the 80's, and are covering their favorite songs, for better or for worse.
Not surprisingly, Relient K brings the best work on the album with a true cover of "Manic Monday" that keeps the original spirit of the song, while still keeping the Relient K sound we all know and love. So if the highlight comes first, does that mean it's all downhill from there? Not exactly, as Hidden In Plain View, Sugarcult, Midtown and Motion City Soundtrack all put up worthy covers sure to appeal to any pop punk fan. Whether ... Read More:

this compilation is probably one of the best i've ever heard. sure, not every song on here is great, or even "good", but the idea of putting together such a collection is brilliant. many of the songs rank among the top 5 of my favorite songs by the band who wrote them. short and sweet! and the songs that aren't that great... they're over so fast you don't have time to go completely insane listening to them.
a lot of reviews i've seen say it's a great way to see which bands you may want to look into further... for many of the songs i'd say that's fine, but there are also a lot where the bands took the arguably silly idea of a huge collection of 30 second songs and were silly with it, or did something completely different than their normal style. ... Of the Give 'Em The Boot albums this is simply the best and certainly one of the best punk samplers ever. It is a great mix of crusty punk and ska. It showcases the best bands that Epitaph has to offer. This is a must have for any punk or ska fan.
Release Date August 10, 2004
I bought this because i love punk rock and would financially support anything that promised to make life harder for GWB. This isn't as good overall as the Vol. 1, but it's got some good tracks on it. Particularly good: "Favorite Son" (Green Day), "Let The Eat War" (Bad Religion), and "We Got The Power" (Dropkick Murphys). All in all, a solid album supporting a good cause.
Release Date March 12, 1996
I got this album for free at a Warped tour about 12 years ago and listened to it about a zillion times. I lost it over the years then found it again and it is so good! I've missed it.
Release Date April 02, 2002
I love 90s music and lame pop from the early 2000s, and I also love classic punk. This combination of the new so-called-punk with my good ol' pop junk music is wonderful. This is my favorite CD.
