At the end of "Glass Onion" is when you know you are in for something unique and special from the Beatles on The White Album. The end of the song features a slow, piercing violin meshed with a "dink, dink, dink" sound that prepares the listener by saying "Okay, we are going to do something different and we are going to lay it all on the line for you, so be ready." Although I believe Revolver to be the quintessential Beatles album because of its mastery of the balance of art and pop, I believe The White Album to be the very best Beatles album of them all because it has aged the best. Paul himself said, "It stood up, but it wasn't a pleasant one to make." Admit it, Sgt. Pepper sounds like a 1967 album, (which doesn't necessarily hinder its greatness) ... Read More:

AC/DC is one of those rare bands that all these years later, I can honestly say that I still enjoy listening to--almost as much as I did when I first heard it back in '80. It's also one of the ONLY bands that bring me and my oldest son together...something I cannot say about the music MY Father used to listen to.

Debates have raged for YEARS over who is better, Brian or Bon...? Honestly I love 'em both. While to this day SOME people have a problem being able to distinguish between the two (and some of those people even consider themselves FANS), I noticed the difference the second Brian began singing on the very first track I heard, which I believe was the title track. While critics will debate forever the impact of Journey on the world of music, for us fans, there IS no debate...the band rocks and we love 'em and their music--for the most part--will be timeless. I've been in radio for the better part of 20 years now, and I cannot remember a time when I did not receive regular requests for Journey, both then and now. Why? I suppose every person must ask themselves why Journey *works* for you, but for me? I just love a song with a great hook, and Journey is definitely in no short supply of those.

I have noticed that even some Fans have been critical of why some songs were included why others were omitted...and for the most part, I agree--but we have to temper that with the fact that Journey more than likely had ZERO choice in which songs ... Read More:

Rubber Soul

"Rubber Soul" is a great album. It consists of catchy, unpretentious British Invasion pop songs and you really don't think it would be that good but it is. The only song I dislike is "Drive My Car," but everything else can be listened to over and over. Slower, more contemplative songs like "Nowhere Man" and "Norwegian Wood," sweet love songs like "In My Life" and "Michelle," jangly pop "If I Needed Someone," and more aggressive numbers like "Run for Your Life." This album is just plain solid all the way through.

The Beatles 1 is a one CD collection spanning The Beatles entire carerr on 27 tracks, all the songs on here were singles and all went too number one at one time. A pretty good collection good for anyone starting out on the beatles but i dont think it covers all the good beatles songs. For instance there is no songs from Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club band it is missing a lot of songs but still its pretty good

This album was part of Miles' "Second Coming." Cut with only "one take" and no practice sessions. They just walked into the recording studio and "did it."
