A thousand reviews? I only can echo the majority. This is simply another masterpiece from the greatest band that ever cut a record. These four were in a class by themselves. The Beatles and then there were all the others. Abbey Road blew everyone away when it came out and still is an experience and not just a set of songs put together for listening to while you run the vacumn cleaner. I always think of some of the assertions that have been made about Shakespeare when I take in the entire catlog of the Beatles. It seems impossible that one small rock combo could come together and create art the way they did the same way that so many people can't imagine one person writing as many classics as Shakespeare did. During the time of the Beatles, it ... Read More:

Oh my goodness, I was forced to listen to this (expletive) bummer of a CD recently and my brother, who is a doctor, almost went into shock at the sight of me: palpitations, eczema, hot and cold rushes I got.
This CD is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. There is not one good note on this filthy disc. It hurts my eyes and ears to see so many dumb dogs run around believing this p.o.s. actually is worth a lousy nickel.
Tracks among others are ALL simply atrocious: Time is a drag, just a slimy piece of I don't know what, Money would be OK if it wasn't a complete King Crimson ripoff, Any color you like is a laughable joke, The great gig in the sky tries to compete with great bands like Tavares and Village People but fails miserably, Brain Haemorrhoids ... Dear people, Although I've grown up on McGuinn, Clark and Hillman I can 'dig ' this poorly edited CD, for starters the vocals are most of the time mixed so deep in the mix you cannot even detect them, this is especially true for large parts of Shine on you crazy diamond and the middle eight section of Wellcome to the machine, tis' just plain inaudible!!! This is a bad quality as POLYDOR JAPAN has left us with.
I really appreciate the superficial tunes by McGuinn, Clark and Hillman better, but OK says I: what gives?

My oh my how I love this greatest hits collection. It really has all the goodies on 2 brilliantly splendid CDs! On CD1 we get treated on Astronomy Domino, Lewd Sam and their TOPHit Water Bearer from the 1978 album Nunks.
On CD2 we can't miss the grandiose Shine On! yer crazy diamond you and the magnus opus 'Anomalies' (dived in Dogs, Sheep, Muffins and Cows).
The smashing closing piece is 'Inflatable Thumbs' one hell of a funny tune.
They were allways good for kicks!

'Remember that Night' might be billed as David Gilmour, but it comes off better than the Pulse DVD which is actually Pink Floyd - in name anyway if not in total execution (Roger Waters absence will always make it seem less than authentic and legitimate). Gilmour and fellow Floyd Richard Wright do very spirited versions of the old classics, and there's "Fat Old Sun" which Pink Floyd hasn't done since Atom Heart Mother days, a very welcome deep cut and great version. Being that it's Gilmour and not Floyd, there isn't nearly the spectacle and stage-show that Pink Floyd is associated with - so hearing the old Floyd numbers in what is a solo Gilmour context with Wright, and other Floyd-related musicians is a treat. Would be nice if Gilmour did any solo material besides the entire ... Read More:

Styx released their first A&M years collection 'Greatest Hits' in 1995. This is their second overall collection, with their first being 1975's Wooden Nickel Records 'Best of Styx.'
But this remains the most comprehensive collection of Styx on the market. All of the band's radio hits are here, and it also includes some popular album tracks and fan favorites as well. This collection spans Styx's A&M years, 1975-1995, a 20-year period.
Here is the album by album review.
Tracks from Equinox (1975):
'Lorelei,' 'Suite Madame Blue'
Review: I like what's represented. Obviously they would put 'Lorelei' here, because that was the radio hit here. But, I'm just a tad disappointed that we don't have 'Light Up' or 'Mother Dear' on here. But A&M ... Read More:
