Sugarland is my favorite duo in the first place but i feel that even non sugarland fans could appreciate this album! There is a lot of variation among the 17 songs and it is one of the only cd's that i do not skip over certain songs. I can honestly listen to the whole cd start to finish without any songs that i could give or take - everyone is worth listening to over and over!

Once again I feel compelled to comment on Emmylou's music. When I first saw this disk I read various reviews here whining that this album is a "downer" and the like. I smiled to myself and bought it without a second thought. I would have bought it no matter what the reviews said. Yes, Emmylou sings about pain, but she also sings about redemption and perseverance, the dawn that follows the darkness. Anyway, what price do you put on music that brings tears to your eyes?

This cd is unbelievable and deserves all the kudos and awards it has received. Carrie Underwood's first cd was a powerhouse seller and also garnered her critical acclaim and tons of awards. But as with any artist it is the second release that showcases their creativity and true talent.

This cd far surpasses the first, which I loved, in song selection, vocal performance and interpretation and Carrie proves herself a true unique talent with her own special gifts.

Trace Adkins won me over totally after seeing him in concert in March.He is a great entertainer and has a wonderful deep voice to listen to. I enjoy variety in my country music and this cd delivers that. He is able to sing the funny sarcastic songs as well as the heart felt ballads. You're Gonna Miss This never fails to bring a tear to my eye and not too many songs do that to me. When you can touch my heart with your music I am a fan for life. Wonderful CD!

I had only played Toby Keith's 35 Biggest Hits album for the first time and it was already among my favourite CDs. I hadn't heard a lot of his older songs and so I found the first CD on the double disk album a completly new experience and I loved every song I heard! While disk one is more ballady and from the 90's era, disk two is more of the recent funnier songs. I couldn't believe it was only around $11.99 USD (which came to about the same AUD at this time) and I would have payed that much just for the new single on there 'She's a Hottie' which I dare anyone to listen to and not be inspired to dance.
It's a great CD to have for parties or for one long Toby indulgence. I can't stop playing it and think it's a great price!

Let it be said that Miranda Lambert is the best artist to emerge from a 'reality show' on any station in any musical format. That this "Nashville Star" graduate had a great voice is a moot point, but few could have predicted that she would make a timeless, classic album such as "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" so early in her career.

The album title is unfortunate (I would have preferred that she chose something more laidback or meaningful), but the album is most decidedly a grassroot country album that gives you true country in this era of pathetic pop-rock being passed off as country. Absolutely 100% true blue gut-wrenching country music. This is what music (should) be all about regardless of the genre. His first album is great, this one is real. Although the styles are polar opposite, this album puts me in mind of the Dixie Chicks, Long way round album. These people aren't just singing about life anymore - their life is in their songs.

Jamey Johnson is an awesome artist, regardless of what he sings, but in this album his songs come to life in a way that no one can deny. Life has grabbed him by the throat and his songs and voice are filtered through the pain and heartache he obviously has been through and this album is the result. Fantastic and cannot be recommended highly enough
