KLF are among the strangest, most controversial yet most innovative duos in the history of House Music. These guys had among the strangest runs and retired from the music industry in 1992, at the height of their popularity. Their music is among the most creative blend of acid house, jazz, hip-hop, New Jack Swing, and techno music with a very stadium-like atmosphere, the kind of feel that makes me love the early 1990s musically speaking. "3am Eternal" is as it says, it is an eternal classic that has withstood the test of time and has a great post-Apocalyptic-themed video to boot. "Church of the KLF" is a brief track that has a beautiful, yet very bright optimistic sound before it morphs into a minor-note 30-second outro at 1:21.

The Prodigy were a great singles band and the proof is in this compilation which contains basically everything a casual fan would want. I have to take a star off though for a couple of reasons. First, the non-inclusion of "Fire" and "Baby's Got A Temper" is a shame and secondly, the version of "Poison" on here must be a single mix or something because it's not the version I remembered from Music For The Jilted Generation (the intro isn't as good).
Overall a good compilation and a good substitute for their albums, which can be a bit tiring at times if you're not a fan of the genre generally.

Most of the good tracks are ones i've already had. I was hoping that other tracks will be as good. Alien Factory - Get the Future Started, Alien Factory - Destiny, and Drax Ltd. II - Amphetamine are very nice tracks that i've already had since a long time. Formic Acid - Eternia, Trans Motion - Pureerotomania, Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - The Bird, Mindviper - Messiah 2000, Flex - Acid File #1, and Nature One - The Sense of Life (Hurricanmix) (an even better mix of a track i've already had) are good cool tracks. So, in my opinion, these 9 tracks are the the good ones in this compilation. The others are really uninteresting. Therefore, i must give it 3 out of 5 stars. For me, this was not such a good buy because i've already had some of the ... Read More:

Beneath the familiar red and black dragon head logo on this rare CD is an "excellent" set of 10 techno tracks dedicated to the stars of the world-renowned video game, Mortal Kombat. The music sounds very much like the electronic soundtracks used in racing games like Ridge Racer and Wipeout in the late 1990's, but it's overlaid with rapping, singing, chanting, and narration to create an adrenalin-charged cacophony of awesomeness sure to make you want to either get up and dance, or put on your ninja outfit and beat up a four-armed giant!
1. Johnny Cage (Prepare Yourself) - Crowds cheer as an announcer introduces "the blue-eyed actor from California," Mr. John Carlton, better known as Johnny Cage. Synthesized beats pulse as a male voice raps: "Be ... Read More:

The Prodigy's first three albums are all techno classics. "Experience" is their first album released in 1992. It features all of their hits from that year which was a watershed year for rave music. The music is frenetic, uptempo, hard, and relentless. There is clearly a punk rock influence with these guys and they use it to create a unique style of techno music. This is great to listen to while working out, driving, and dancing (of course!). The second disc is a collection of remixes and b-sides and it is almost as good as the first disc. Fans of The Prodigy should pick this up along with "Music for The Jilted Generation" and "Fat of the Land" because they are all essential.

The Utah Saints clearly have a lot of talent, but they fail to utilize it in "Two". The track "Three Simple Words" especially proves that when they try hard enough they can create a GREAT song (this track is one of my favorite electronica songs ever). Unfortunately the rest of the album is noticably worse than this song, though a few good songs are scattered about. Their biggest downfall is when they have a good sounding song and either add in a voice sample that messes it up or when they let a song run on for too long ("Massive" for the first example and "Power To The Beats" for the second one). If they had gotten rid of the voice sample and shortened the other song then they would've been much better. For 15 tracks, the album is, on a whole, not that good. It's not "horrible", ... "Get Ready for This" is 2 Unlimited's first album. This contains there first two worldwide hits "Get Ready for This" and the even satisfying "Twilight Zone". The other tracks of the album are just as fabulous as the hits. This groups' music is strictly recommended to electronic dance fans. This is techno music at its best, Anita and Ray are excellent musicians. I also recommend: Acen-"75 Minuites", Amber-"This Is Your Night", Bananarama-"Ultra Violet", Crystal Waters-"Crystal Waters", Culture Beat-"Inside Out", Kristine W,-"Land of the Living", Madonna-"Ray of Light", Madison Avenue-"Polyester Embassy", Real McCoy-"Hey Now", Traci Lords-"1,000 Fires", and Rozalla-"Everybody's Free", "Look No Further"& "Don't Go Lose It Baby".
