Avenged Sevenfold have truly mastered their craft. The gnarly vocals, the Iron Maiden-like dual guitar parts and solos, the jackhammer drums, etc. WE GET IT ALREADY. You're Avenged Sevenfold. We got it ever since we heard your other albums and songs some months ago. If you liked Waking The Fallen I'm sure you'll like this. But to think this resembles any sort of change for A7X, you'd have to be disturbed. OR to even think this is their best album It has the elements of a normal A7X album except that it resembles a hamburger: processed and ready for consumption. Of course, there are plenty of 18+ people who will like the album, but for a majority this one just isn't quite about mature enough content to hold interest for long.

First off, this is not a 'bad' album, so much as a bad album for a band like The Academy Is.... Where previous albums were about life and touched on love in a more roundabout way, Fast Times is a blatant Boy Meets Girl high school soundtrack.

The first half of the album is likable because it consists almost entirely of hooks with a few other lyrics thrown in to make an actual song, while the last few are so generic they completely fade into the background if you're doing something else and you don't even notice when one song progresses into the next.

In 1991 singer/songwriter/guitarist Rivers Cuomo came along to form this band called Weezer and recruited lead guitarist Brian Bell, bass player Matt Sharp, and drummer Patrick Wilson. It wasn't until two years later in September 1993 that the band finally completed this marvelous debut known as "The Blue Album". To produce the ten songs included they chose Ric Ocasek from the popular 70's new wave group The Cars. I really like the raw sound that this recording has and the cover looks cool too mostly because blue happens to be my favorite color!

An acoustic guitar arpeggio opens the album's first song "My Name Is Jonas" in good fashion and then the distorted guitars kick in along with the distinctive vocals of Cuomo. Note the harmoinca towards the ... Read More:

If you get this album expecting more of the Fall-Out-Boy-esque sounds of the debut album, you will be sorely disappointed.

It appears the band was trying for something different, to break away from the style that got them popular in the first place. The horns and the strings gave it a whimsical sound that fans of Rock and Alternative will have a hard time appreciating.

I'm glad I listened through the whole thing before purchasing it, because I would be pretty mad if I had spent the money.

Well i didn't get this CD as soon as it came out i got riot first and RIOT! was amazing... this CD was also amazing and i can't stop listening to it i mean come on this is one of the best CDs known to earth and once you start listening to it you really can't stop listening to it! For all of who write bad reviews stay of the page!! Like i said this CD is amazing!!

Tokio Hotel are my favorite band and I love this CD! My favorite songs on this CD are 1000 Oceans, Sacred, Don't Jump, Monsoon and By Your Side. But I highly recommend anything by Tokio Hotel, they are amazing! Ich Liebe Dich TH <3

Although I am biased, being that Travis Clark (lead singer/guitarist) is my little cousin and all, it's a very good album.

I love the fact that the music is up-beat & fun, clean lyrics (hard to come by & even harder in a complete album) & each song is catchy!

It's an album that you can listen to from beginning to end. And in no time, without looking through the lyrics, you will find yourself singing correctly along.

Bravo, Cuz! Have fun in the UK and see you Christmas!

This really made my funny bone tickle when it came out. It's kinda funny cause every song is great but it's not even 30 minutes long. Don't get me wrong, this os a really great album, but it only has 28 minutes of music on it. This is a really good release by the best band ever, but you should also buy all of their ohter albums. Hash Pipe Roks!
