I don't understand Italian, but the music is universal. The piano is "electric", the beat is ever present, the boogie woogie is contagious, the ambiance is plain fun. I enjoy listening to this CD over and over.

I am an artist, music is my muse and inspiration. I have a library of just the right music, for just the right painting adventure. After hearing "Dancing", by Elisa, on "So You Think You Can Dance" last year, to a dance choreographed by Mia Michaels, I became obsessive about that song, as well as the video posted on You Tube. The music was not available on Amazon,but would be at some point. Huh! I just couldn't believe it... I wanted it NOW! lol Where can I get "Dancing", I kept thinking. Since I could not find it at the time, I posted the You Tube mentioned on a couple of my Squidoo lenses. I heard this music up in Michigan and my brother told me the name of the singer and when my wife and I got back from there we ordered the CD and the other one called Italian and they are both wonderful. The music is very relaxing and is absolutely beautiful in wording.

This review was accidentally placed on the wrong CD (Best of Zucchero), but it rightfully goes with this CD (Zucchero and Co.)! (please forgive) (However,The Best of Zucchero is also ONE GREAT CD and is highly recommended !)
Well, if you love the blues, or an updated/different version thereof, and if you love love songs, you will love this CD ! Whether you can speak Italian or not, who cares...they are love songs, make up your own words ! lol I bought this CD just for one song, Cosi Celeste (she's my baby) but have fallen in love with the entire CD...and Zucchero too I might add ! Generally clear and melodic voice, but it sometimes gets a bit thick in the lower ranges, while he strains on the higher notes and occasionally goes a bit sharp. I completely disagree that he sounds anything like Bocelli; his voice is definitely not of that caliber. The songs had good variety, but he lacks the color, or perhaps emotional quality of a Bocelli or even Josh Groban to bring them to life.

Eros is just so amazingly talented it is beyond description. Now take his talent couple it with Tina Turner, Cher and others and you have music that is timeless, beautiful, and inspiring. E2 is one of the few CD's in your collection you can put in the CD player (both CD's) and let it play....

If you like Eros buy E2 - if you love Ero's you better buy 2 sets! I swear I have listened to this CD 100 times in the last month and still find myself choosing it over everything else.

This two CD set entitled Gold by Connie Francis really does a fine job of giving us a grand assortment of Connie's finest hits and ballads. The quality of the sound is very good and the artwork is typical for the "Gold" CD series.

The first CD starts off with her awesome hit entitled "Who's Sorry Now." Connie's voice is as clear as a bell and she sings this sweetly. This ballad, which is essentially about a woman getting even with a man who jilted her, shines like pure gold when Connie sings this beyond perfection! The backup vocalists do a great job, too. "Stupid Cupid" has a bouncier arrangement as Connie sings so well of a young woman's love for her man; and the hand clapping on this number is a type of percussion that works wonders for "Stupid ... This CD is amazing. If you are abroad, get the 2 CD version- this CD would deserve 6 stars if that additional CD was available. My house mate and I are total fans and we love to listen to this CD. The duo with Julieta Venegas is especially outstanding. Bose fans everywhere should include this CD in their collections.

Eros

This a great introduction to Eros, but it is not a greatest hits album. Typically a GH album takes the best songs from previous albums and puts them on one CD. Most of the Eros songs in this collection are re-recorded. So if you already have "Adesso Tu" on another CD this version is different. The same goes for most of the songs here. (I noticed that most of the songs from early on in his career are re-recorded versions.)
Regardless, it's a great collection. I like the alternate versions.
