What can I say about this? I had a copy of this and it became damaged. I had to replace it because I loved it so much. Ray Charles was one of the greatest of all times, and these duets are priceless. Love it!!

What can be said about Fats.....he is truly a legend in his own time. You can't listen to his music and keep your feet still. I am from New Orleans, and grew up with Fats' tunes. He is truly one of the greats of rock & roll, and has his own unique New Orleans sound. His music makes you happy. He is pretty much a recluse now, so get this album and enjoy the best of Fats.

Fats Domino Jukebox: 20 Greatest Hits the Way You Originally Heard Them has some wonderful hits by the great Fats Domino. This is practically mandatory listening for fans of Fats Domino; and people who like rock and roll music from back in the day will appreciate this album as well. The artwork is also very, very good.

"The Fat Man" starts the CD with Fats singing this one out really great! "The Fat Man" has surface noise but it's a very good tune and it makes a strong beginning for this album. I really like "The Fat Man." "Going To The River" has that classic Fats Domino sound; the piano is used well and the percussion really fits in well as Fats sings this to perfection--and beyond! I love the darker, murkier side of Dr. John like Walk on Guilded Splinters and Gris Gris Woman, so there are several songs that aren't to my taste, but it is a great cd and worth the money.

When I drive down the road in my 2006 Honda Accord and have this collection playing on my six changer cd player I feel like it's 1922 in Alabama and I'm in my Ford jalopy listening to some great radio station from the past. These songs not only tell stories of the past they make you feel for people you have never met. It's a great collection.

This record doesn't have all of Ray's greatest hits, but it does have most of them. If you're looking for the early songs he released on Atlantic, you won't find them. But most of the songs you heard on the radio in the 1950's and 1960's are here. There are even a few songs from live album releases which are refreshing changes from the standards. If you're looking for an encyclopedic collection of Ray's works, you have other choices. If you want a one-disk collection which will keep you humming and singing along, this is a good start.
