I don't know if anyone realized, but this soundtrack is missing several pieces from the movie--just watch the movie and you'll know the ones that were left out. Thus this isn't an "Original Motion Picture Soundtrack". The same thing was done with the Star Trek 3 soundtrack. Will James Horner ever bring out the complete ones? Who knows?

I absolutely love this collection. It certainly matches its title. I use some of the music in workshops for movement and everyone has a great time moving through Goldfinger, Indiana Jones, Pink Panther, and the Stormtroopers! Hearing the Titanic hit the ice is bone chilling. It's a great compilation. Thank you!

I really enjoyed the music of Enterprise, but was having a tough time with finding the CD. I was particularly interested in getting the CD for the theme song, which I absolutely love!!! The composer of the music for this TV show did an excellant job! Way to go, Mr. McCarthy!

I like this CD a great deal. It is one of my favorite soundtracks. However, when I tried to load my copy to iTunes, the format wasn't compatible. Something weird about the "enhanced" CD thing. So, I'd suggest that if you want a CD to load to an iPod, you buy the mp3 download version.

An outstanding recording,to be taken back in time ,when being absorbed in the sounds,and strains of strident musicand the softer passages,truly inspiring,melodies to tug at your heart.Great orchestral,performace,the percussion section must have had a ball.

Believe it or not I am new to the Star trek world. I got this one and some other ST movies. I knew about the characters due to the pop culture effect it has had on society. But it took to long to get started and was slow and boring in several parts.

This is a great CD, even if it is outdated (no theme from First Contact, Insurrection or Nemesis.) But this CD is great. The sound effects are annoying, that much we can all agree on, but for those bashing the concert arrangement of the Original Series theme...this is the arrangement by Alexander Courage himself arranged for concert, its performed the same way by John Williams and the Boston Pops on the CD "Out of This World" among other Williams/BPO compilations. I would rank this CD below Silva's "The Star Trek Album" and Varese's "The Ultimate Star Trek", but above Naxos "Star Trek" album. Though, a Star Trek fan should have all of them! and even if your not a star trek fan, this is a good sampler at a cheap price. People selling this for under $5 with shipping! ... Read More:

Wow, this score brings a tear to a Trekkie's eye. It's beautiful, futuristic, haunting and most of all thematic and bold. Cliff Eidelman has proven he can compose with the likes of Horner and Goldsmith by writing and conducting a score that breaches beyond the everyday into the further reaches of musical immortality. If you love this score as much as I do, you will also love Horner's "Wrath of Khan" and perhap even more so Goldsmith's "Star Trek, The Motion Picture" or "Insurrection."

If listening to true Star Trek music hits you buttons in just the right way, you will need to add this score to your collection, it really is worth it.
