T.I. has had many ups, downs, successes and failures in his career but one thing is certain: he's learned from it all. It's evident on his sixth album "Paper Trail" that the Georgia-bred superstar is more focused on the quality of his music and in turn has created a great album that is among my favorites of his. The title "Paper Trail" refers to how he now writes his lyrics down instead of memorizing verses in his head to create a track. And after the flop that was "T.I. Vs. T.I.P.", I really don't think T.I. had a choice.
The album starts off perfectly with the fiery "56 Bars," intro, and then proceeds into "I'm Illy", a hot braggadacio track that has Tip spitting fire. The next track "Ready For Whatever" has T.I. rapping about ... Read More:

with Jeezy's third release, "The Recession" starts off in a nice way with the Recession (intro). "Welcome Back" gives us a bit of Jeezy as he's been gone for a bit. But not really because he was guest artist on more than a few remixes this year among them "Spotlight" (Jennifer Hudson) and one of the smash hits of 08 "Love In This Club" w/Usher.
I feel this release is easily better than his '06 release, The Inspiration. It hits harder and is still listen worthy even until the end with two of the tracks that i enjoy most on the "Put On" feat. Kanye West and "My President" feat. Nas as we find Jeezy getting more than a little political. But its cool to hear him take it to another level.
Throughout the cd, he has the fire that ... Read More:

I had always liked Lil Wayne and had always loved his mixtapes such as Da Drought and Lights Out was a real good album. I took notice of Lil Wayne when he was a hot boy. Listening to him now compared to this cd was very interesting. He had changed his style so much so now he is of an MTV status which can consider him to be a "pop/rap" artist. I understand that h is trying to attract a wider audience base but seriously, I am so tired of people who don't even follow rap think he is the best rapper alive, as he says. They all base it off this album only and never even had heard any of his other stuff. this shows how tainted rap music is now these days. What Lil Wayne came out with the album was his big hit "Lollipop" which while was catchy and had a good ... Read More:

I absolutely adore this CD and know about 92% of lyrics due to constant listening. Sadly I lost the actual CD, and bonus CD, and case, but I had already ripped the music to my computer so I am surviving! But I plan on repurchasing the CD in the near future. How could I not? He's the best rapper alive!

What we have here is DJ Khaled's debut album with a few tweaks and adjustments and served to the public as something new. There are so many holes and so many things wrong with this album that it's hard to even find a starting point. The first proper track features Kanye West trying to rap like he's hard. I mean, seriously... Another issue I have is Khaled's liberal use of the "N" word. Dude's an Arab. Not that it's acceptable for anyone really, but if the Arab you bought your quarter waters, Lemonheads, and Chik-O-Sticks from uttered that same slur, you'd dive over the counter to get to him. I don't think that philosophy of intolerance changes because one makes music. There are a lot more holes here, but I'm not trying to type 5 paragraphs. Hit me with a comment if you ... Read More:

Before I got Rock N Roll Jesus, the only Kid Rock song was "You never met m.f.." and of course "Picture". I hope you're into Country as this CD seems to be Kid Rock's slide into country. I'd say its 9 country out of 14 songs. thats cool for me cuz Rock N Roll Jesus is basically all heavy rock/country.
