After hearing "Your Ex-Lover is Dead" 2 years ago, I then quickly decided to buy "Set Yourself on Fire," because I figured that if they released such a beautiful song, the others must at least be halfway decent. After buying the CD, I was relatively impressed with the Stars' quirkyness and their quixotic approach to recording songs, but I was overall slightly disappointed. The songs were basically all the same, ostensibly just an attempt to weird out their listeners with awkward noises more than anything. But, after buying this CD on a whim, the Stars really hit the nail on the head with their "In Our Bedroom After the War."

It took me being an idiot, and selling this CD some years ago, and then reclaiming it again just tonight in order to realize what a beautiful collection of music this really is. Seriously, this set shows off the amazing scope and depth that John Williams has, while it doesn't have every last one of his amazing compositions, it still shows what a fine composer Mr. Williams really is.

I will start off by stating that I started yearning for the set again after I saw a preview of E.T. being broadcast on TV and heard the sweeping "Flying Theme" playing in the background. This music is a multi-CD pack that includes only instrumental music. I am a person who really likes this type of music. Many different movie music themes are included in this set including: mission impossible, Titanic, Superman, and others. Eric Kunzel is the main author of this collection but many others are also showcased. I highly recommend this set.

Where di I start!? The music is awsome, filling two great disks. The soundtrack starts with the Fox fanfare and ends with the music from the throne room and the credits. The case includes a 3-D picture on the outside and a regular one on the inside. The regular one unfolds into a beautiful poster and on the back are photos. The music includes the songs played in the cantina scene and the theme that plays when Luke looks into the sunset. I think that every fan of Star Wars should own this soundtrack.

are great, but this one is unbelievable.

It's in a whole film score league of its own.
It's one of my favorite soundtracks
from a motion picture.

I haven't heard the ultimate two disc edition yet,
but if it is more of the same quality music,
even better.

London Symphony Orchestra, London Voices,
New London Children's Choir
- the force is with you.

If you enjoy film scores in general
and the works of John Williams in particular,
you will want this recording in your collection
because you will listen to it often.
