Let me start out by saying this is an excellent start for new Toby Keith fans. It has all the biggest hits from each of his albums from 1993-2006 plus a new 2008 song "She's A Hottie. Where this greatest hits album goes in the wrong direction as most hits albums do is omitting or leaving off a few big hits. First omission is "Crash Here Tonight" reaching #15 on the country charts. He also omits all three hits from "Big Dog Daddy: "High Maintenance Woman" reaching number 3 on the country charts; Love Me "If You Can" reaching number 1 on the country charts; and "Get My Drink On" reaching number 11 on the country charts. Instead we get "Mockingbird" only reaching number 27 on the country charts; "Getcha Some" only reaching number 18 on the ... Read More:

I LOVE this album! It's as great as her first! Carrie Underwood is the best American Idol. I have really been enjoying her songs and I really feel that she sings the stories of the songs so well. She uses so many aspects of her voice. It's truly an awesome album!

This is not as good as Solo Acoustic Volume 1....but Volume 1 is probably the best live album ever recorded. Volume 2 is still very good. The songs are great and performed with skill and feeling. The rapport with the audience is the best part of the album. Loved it!!

I bought this CD for my husband. He keeps it in his car. He listens to it everyday and enjoys it. Our 2 sons borrow it and enjoy it too.

I heard the song and laughed so hard, I looked up the album. The first song is Ray Wylie Hubbard's "Drunken Poet's Dream." The last is a hilarious cover of "I don't want to grow up." I was sold and the tracks in the middle weren't just empty filler. "Trouble" just kept on delivering.
"Trouble in Mind" is a pretty good title for this bluesy sardonic collection of thoughtful and cynical humored country. This is Texas singer Carll's first release on a major label, Lost Highway.
My only complaint with this CD is the sound quality which is worth half a star. It's marginal in iTunes format and acceptable on my stereo. But, for the quality of the musicianship and the thought in the lyrics--I'll be looking up the rest of ... Read More:

Lady A is my all time favorite groups...and I just discovered them not but 5 months ago. I heard one song and I knew they were going to be huge! I bought this CD and have been listening to it now for almost a whole month non-stop! (and I'm one of those people that normally change the song after a couple of seconds!)
I had the amazing opportunity to see them live with Martina in January and they put on an amazing show. I would recommend this CD to everyone! It is just fabulous!

I know more than a few Alan Jackson fans who were concerned that Alan's previous album marked a permanent change of direction for him. That album, produced by Alison Krauss, will likely prove to be the worst selling album in the Alan Jackson catalog so it is good to see that Good Time is a return to form for him. His fans can stop worrying now.
"Good Time" is jam-packed with solid country music and, as usual for an Alan Jackson album, the songs will appeal to a wide audience. There are love ballads for the ladies, a drinking song or two for the guys, some autobiographical songs, and lots of Alan Jackson humor on display.
Alan shares some of his own story on "Small Town Southern Man," the first single from the album, ... Read More:

The man's a genius, what can I say--he's got Dad (Larry McMurtry's) flair for words and his music mentors (Bruce Hornsby and John Cougar Mellencamp's) skill at putting together a killer song.
And no one would tell him to shut up and sing--because James doesn't pull punches about what he thinks. He'll belt out what he thinks in his road-worn Texas twang. No label's telling him what to do--"Just us Kids" is McMurtry's own production.
As a kid from the 60's, I like protest songs of all kinds, but McMurtry's given up his more subtle hammer and chisel for a power tool here, for example in "God Bless America (Pat mAcdonald must die" takes Timbuk3's two hit wonder, "National Holiday" quite a few steps further:
