You want anything good that's acoustic guitar? Get something by Nick Drake or Andrew Collins (or Mandolin, but close), Elliot Smith, Dave Matthews Band (as long as it's not everyday, ick), R.E.M. heck, the Beatles have an arsenal of wicked, beautiful acoustic guitars. He's retiring, by the way.

Sarah McLachlan is one of my favorite artists and this album provides more of her signature style. An incredibly beautiful voice, haunting melodies, and emotional lyrics mark this as another wonderful album!

Kinda hard to beat this album.Blind Faith released in 69 was the only album they ever released and thats allright because if Clapton and Winwood attempted to follow this up with a better album chances are they would have killed themselves in doing so.This doesn't sound like music by men living on the edge.It sounds like music made by men who actually jumped off over the edge and somehow made it back alive.CLASSIC stuff here.No surprise this was the first music project Clapton did after hearing Music from Big PInk by "The Band".He was inspired by them to make an album that meant more than being a guitar king.You can here the soul in the music.Although Clapton had not yet found confidence in his voice yet,I probably would trust Steve Winwood to get ... this is one of the greatest pop rock albums ever produced,and if you only had to buy one steely dan cd,this would be the one to grab.this has several of the steely dan classics on here,such as josie,decon blues,and peg.this is a true masterpiece,from one of the most talented bands to ever come down the pike.great cd.

This has always been one of my favorite movies. I love the soundtrack to it. I tried to order it from other places, but they didn't have it. I found it on Amazon and I was able to order it hassle free. I recieved it within a few days of ordering it and my 13 year old son wants to watch it all the time. He now wants Eddie and the Cruisers part 2. I will be ordering it from Amazon also.

Realesed in the summer of 1967 it demonstrates Cream's expirementing with acid rock. All 11 tracks on here are great and its good old fashioned 60s rock music. Some key tracks on here are, strange brew, SWALBLR, tales of brave ulysses, etc. It also has one of the first albums with the wah-wah pedal on it. All in all a great buy and you should buy it today along with all of the other great 1967 albums. here are some classic 60s albums that you should buy,

Conventional wisdom holds that this is a Miles Davis album, and that is pretty much right - it's an album led by Miles Davis, under Cannonball Adderley's name, set up to showcase the altoist who had just joined Davis's band. You can hear plenty of fine playing by Cannonball, but it's in Davis's world - the earthiness of many later Cannonball recordings isn't present.

The similarities are particularly obvious on the classic interpretation of "Autumn Leaves" and the Davis original "Somethin' Else". "Love for Sale" was recorded under Davis's leadership 3 months later, with Cannonball present, and it's interesting to compare the two approaches. (I prefer the Davis version, but they are both superb.)

I stumbled across this album late (1975) and recall being fairly floored at the time that I was not familiar with it (albeit that I had had John Barleycorn for years prior).

Simply put, Steve Winwood was a genius on the emotive and exploratory edge of electric guitar, something that seems entirely lost to multiple generations of guitarists and listeners. Listen, if you will, to the trailing guitar licks on Light Up or Leave Me Alone and tell me if you don't feel the presence of something 'bigger' than the rest of all the BS garbage guitar work out there these days. And yet listeners who don't, in fact, listen will have no idea what I'm talking about...
