Journey has a special place in the heart of anyone who fell in love in the 1980s. Having seen them with Glass Tiger on their Raised on Radio Tour, I can say Steve Perry was Journey. Anything else was Bad English (not a bad group either).
This CD has what you are looking for. It is something to put in the car on a 1 hour drive and loose yourself. Be careful not to play air drums on Separate Ways (Worlds Apart).
If you like a couple of Journey songs, but don't have all of these in your MP3 collection, download them now. But listen to them in order.
I bought my original CD in 1988, the day after Thanksgiving at the Strawberries at Downtown Crossing in Boston. When I got married in 1997, this was one ... Read More:

This is a great CD to have for the variety of hits. Many of the "Best of" collections are missing a few songs because Aerosmith jumped around between recording companies. This one has Dream On which is missing on many of the collections.
Release Date October 19, 1999
It's fantastic. I orginially had this recording years ago on a 33rpm record, and like a fool got rid of it. I got it as a replacement on a CD format and its the way I always remembered it.

Hands down one of the best we'll ever see. When Dick Gregory puts you in a class with Mark Twain and Richard Pryor in terms of funniest ever, that says something. I found a copy used at a Newbury Comics, and for half off, and after listening, I would easily pay the 70$ for this collection.
Release Date March 25, 1997
I dabbled in jazz for about 10 years, then bought this disk on its reputation as a seminal album and good for "newbies"- After many many listens, its probably my number one favorite of all time, any genre. The mood is mellow, the structures are simple, but the whole thing is more than the sum of its parts- sublime in the old sense of the word- intelligent, interesting, masterful improvisation by all players. Miles is the man and this IMHO is the album.

As a longtime Bruce fan, I found this release just a tad bit disappointing. I still bought it and it's a great single-disc collection, nonetheless.
But now there are so many other collections. '18 Tracks,' 'The Essential Bruce Springsteen' and the 'Live 1975-85' are all out, and are quite a bit better than this, especially '18 Tracks.'
But this has all of the Bruce standards. 'Born To Run,' 'Badlands,' 'Hungry Heart,' 'Atlantic City,' 'Thunder Road,' and 'The River' are all on this set. And the sound quality is superb.
But why didn't they include a song like 'Rosalita,' 'Tenth Avenue Freeze Out,' 'The Tunnel Of Love' or 'Blinded By The Light' as opposed to one of the new songs like 'Secret Garden'? I loved the two new songs ... Read More:

The first song by Evanescence that I ever heard was My Immortal, and by the end of that song, I was in love with this band. They had come up with such a unique, beautiful, and haunting sound that I had never had the pleasure of hearing before, and I still have yet to find a band that can even come close to matching what Evanescence has brought into this world.
Now four years ago, when I first became a fan of Evanescence, I was not at all into the whole goth scene because it really creeped me out. However, you definitely don't have to be a goth to appreciate this music. Everybody needs a little bit of darker-sounding music to listen to once in a while. So since that fateful day back in 2004, Evanescence has become my very favorite band, and I have ... Read More:

Yes this album is good. If you doubt it, you can watch her on A&E this sunday 6/29 at 9am. She is performing a few of her favorite songs and will be answering in-depth questions with Lynn Hoffman.

If you own no Elvis, this is a great place to start. A sparkling collection of raw rock, pop and wail. Songs get progressively more pop/sugar ballad down the list; the listener can feel the influence (sigh) of the market on the choice of songs. There are some bizarre songs like "Wooden Heart", but many keepers that make the disc a real treasure. I can't help wondering what Elvis would think of the "Conversation" remix. Hmmm.
