wow!! this is an amazing album!!! if you like "dc talk" but don't want to get all their cds,get this one. hard to pick only one song as the best in the album,they are all really good.the people that put it together did an amazing job!

This album now seems so dated, but i remeber when it came out that it was just chocked full of energy. The guys really know how to jam and this was a great capturing of their energy. The cover of Jesus is just alright is one of their best tunes.

This is a great album with a good blend of their different styles of music. One of my favorites on the CD is their rendition of "I wish We'd All Been Ready". This is a song I loved as a kid and do not here it very much all these years later.

I have enjoyed DC talks music for years. I got this album because I had a few of their others. This one was a suprise. It wasn't what I was expecting. THis album is 90's hip-hop. The album is worth the price for Lean on Me, and Jesus is just alright.

The 1989 debut cd by DC Talk really doesn't sound anything like the DC Talk that we know about today. Tobymac, Tait, And K-max all made their first statement to the world as musicians on this pretty much forgettable album. Instead of the challenging and enduring power of their music that's found on their later releases, We instead get 8 tracks of mostly outdated and very cheesy 80s hip-hop. On this album, DC Talk sounds like a cross between Early MC Hammer, Run DMC, And Kool Moe Dee. If you must have this album, You will at least enjoy 2 tracks, Which are ''Spinnin Round'' [By far the greatest song on this album] and ''Final Days''. But, There are a few positives about this cd. ''Walls'', ''No More'', and ''Talk It Out'' are the only reccomendable songs on here. If you like cheesy 80's and early 90's rap music, This cd is for you. If not, Go buy a Gospel Gangstaz cd or a Lecrae cd instead. First of all, I have to give it five stars because I am a hardcore dc talk fan. Can't help it, I just am that way. In light of the sound quality, style and remix content, it also deserves five stars.

HOWEVER, I must confess a slight disappointment. I had been looking forward to the 10th anniversary of Jesus Freak for a long time, especially after the 10th anniversary of Free At Last. Jesus Freak is the biggest Christian rock album of all time. No question about it. It revolutionized not just the Christian music industry, but the entire music industry as well. After all, Jesus Freak is one of the first albums to have blended rap with some hard guitars.
