What a nightmare. It's hard to believe that this band had anything to do with the original Veruca Salt. Same lame tempo shifts in every song it seems. The play soft, and then hit it hard trick has been tired for years before this album came out, and uses it it seems on *every* track. It was years since I had the misfortune of picking this one up, and obviously still leaves a very bad taste.

There are certain cds in your life that are addictive, it's as if you're trying to figure out everything about it, and you can't stop listening and you try to listen to other s*&# and can't because it's just that good. I didn't buy all the VS stuff before (I will now). I honestly only knew one song, from a long time ago ("Seether") and was curious when a friend gave me IV but not like some diehard salivating fan convulsing with gratitude. Well, I had no idea. Certain songs are just brilliant: So Weird, Centipede, Closer - which is phenomenal, Damage Done, Blissful Queen, Comes and Goes and the Anthematic Salt Flat Epic. I don't know. Blow It out Your Ass It's Veruca Salt

Its a worthwhile record of only 4 tracks. Though, I really only like the first 2 tracks...which others agree...they DO rock!
If you haven't already, get American Thighs and Eight Arms To Hold You..well worth it to create a full "classic" Veruca Salt collection. Its a shame that Nina had to leave so soon...they were a great band.
