"Let It Go," is not the best country CD you will hear. Nor is it the worst. What it just might be is the stepping stone to the next chapter in Tim McGraw's career - the chapter where he's taken seriously as an artist.

No more barbecue stains on his white t-shirt and that makes some of you sad, doesn't it? Well, I guess Tim could stay the same as he was twenty years ago and we could all go back to high school and the world could stop evolving. Tim's an artist and he's trying to become a better one. This record is a huge step in the right direction.

It seems like every time I turn around Tim McGraw is releasing another Greatest Hits CD. The difference between McGraw and some of the other artists that keep releasing recycled hits, is that McGraw has such a steady string of hits that he has excellent new material for each offering. Greatest Hits # 2 features 16 great songs, many of which highlight McGraw's smooth voice and incredible selection of songs. He continually chooses songs that seem to resonate with people. From ballads to faster songs, McGraw seems to be at home in most styles. Not many artists can sound just as at home with Faith Hill and Nelly. When I received the cd, it was severely scratched. The first song played and I was very happy until the second song started and skipped threw the whole song, so I skipped it to track four and it was scratched there as well. I ended up throwing the cd away.

Live Like You Were Dying

I've always liked Tim's songs and have collected his albums over the years. But this album really hit me with the title track, "Live Like You Were Dying". Four years ago I was diagnosed with an incurable disease which takes 20% of us who have it. So after hearing this song, I looked at this illness a little differently.

It took me these past 4 years to come out of the depression from the bad news. This summer I finally felt up to doing things again, so we used this song as our summer theme. I'd been skydiving before, and this illness already seems like 8 seconds of bull riding, so we didn't have to do those. But we went Rocky Mountain climbing. Set This Circus Down

As a Tim McGraw fan, I try to love all of his music but this is one of my least favorite CDs by McGraw. Ironically, I really love the first two songs on this CD, "Cowboy in Me" and "Telluride"; "Cowboy in Me" has become one of my all-time favorite songs. Nevertheless, after those two songs, the rest of "Set This Circus Down" was mediocre at best - I am not a fan of the songs after track #2. After "Telluride", the songs here sound repeatative and generic; like anyone could have sung them. And there is a very obvious shift in the sound on "Set This Circus Down" compared to some of of McGraw's earlier work, which may bother people.

Get this CD if you are a McGraw fan; if not, you may want to skip this one.

I'm a hugh Tim Mcgraw fan, he didn't let me down with the cd Everywhere!

I love the title song, it's very moving. I'm so glad I found it at Amazon the sellers offer great prices and quality merchandise. When I can I'll be back for more. Thank you, Dawn Berthold
