The hard rock of The Art of Breaking is improved upon with this release, but too many of the tracks sound the same. The first three tracks (The "Flame in All of Us," "Falls Apart," "New Drug") are excellent; however, songs such as "My Own Enemy," "Inhuman," and "The Safest Place" sound way too similar. Basically most of this album alternates heavy songs with light songs, and while it's not bad, it's kind of average. "What Do We Know?" is one of the least interesting songs I've ever heard, and I think it should not have been included on here as it does not help the the record in any way. Fans new to this band may want to get used to this record before hearing the more consistent Art of Breaking.

COMMENTS: The local hard rock radio station was playing "Move" and "Hit The Floor". The songs were catchy and I decided to make the purchase. More times than not, the melodies grab me first, and then I listen to the words. Those new to Thousand Foot Crutch (TFC) might not notice the "Christian Rock" moniker attached to the band. I certainly didn't on my first few listens. ... Read More:

than they had going on Phenomenon. But even still i still found myself going right along with just about every song on Set It Off. I never listened to this when it was first released. So i'm going off of this release. I like how they have more of the rap/rock vibe going on in this cd than Phenomenon(which i still enjoy). I'm feeling this one a little more on that end and overall for the songs that were added to Set It Off.
I find it to be a very good purchase for those who dont have it or are on the fence about whether to check it out or not. Give it a shot and see how you feel about it. A few of my favorite songs on this one are:
"Everyone Like Me"
"Puppet"
"Supafly"
"Rhime Animal"
"Upcomesdown" ... Read More:
