The nylons are incredible performers who do a superior job of reproducing some of the favorite songs from the past in a cappella form. If you love songs like Happy Together or Kiss Him Goodbye you will find the renditions from the Nylons to be a must!

Seamless

About 30 minutes of top quality rock-a-pella. Ten songs. Some good, some forgetable. Voices are fabulous - which is typical of the Nylons during this period. The arrangements are very creative but . . . this album doesn't leave me singing the tunes in my head. I walk away thinking, "Wow that was really well done" . . . . and then tend to forget about it. There are some good songs but overall this album seems out of focus.
I was spoiled by "Happy Together" which I think was their best album. If you are looking for more of the same on this album unfortunately what you get is a shadow of the incredible vocal work capable of this group.
Recommended for Nylons fans (like me) but if you have never bought a Nylons CD buy "Happy ... Read More:

I have liked most albums from this group. This is another keeper. It is a good combination of vocals and simple but creative music. The production is very good. Overall a very good CD.

Hits of the 60's: A Cappella Style

When I seek out a cappella music I want the literal translation. "Without instrumental accompaniment". This cd fell short - like completely missed the rotation of the earth short.
On the other hand when I purchase an "instrumental" cd I don't want to hear anything BUT instrumental.
This cd was a big waste of my money and time. My only consolation is writing a review that might perhaps warn others that they will NOT get a capella music on this cd.

Perfect Fit

I bought this album because I looked at the track list and saw that it had all the hits I knew and loved. Sadly, once I listened to it, I was very disappointed to hear some of my favorite songs (The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Happy Together, and Poison Ivy to name a few) remixed with an awful 80's drum machine. If you want the real goods, purchase the original 1982 self titled Nylons album,I wish I had. I would have given it 1 star, but it still contains the original versions of some songs including Love Potion #9 and Duke of Earl.
