This is by far one of the best electronic music cd ever!!! Every track is well done and they put you on a ride from start to finish. I wish they would do another album with this same intensity! I have bought this cd 7 times cause either I let someone listen to it and the next thing you know its gone or I played it so much it wore out!! Everyone I let listen to it even if they not a electronic fan they still love it and that makes it even appealing because it has such a diversified sound. This is a must have if your any kind of music lover!!!!!

I was a bit disappointed in this album, but I think when I bought it, I didn't know it was a tie-in with Nike for a specific beats-per-minute pace designed specifically for runners. Maybe I ought to go take it for a run, but honestly, I was expecting something more along the lines of the amazingly excellent Vegas album. This was not nearly as good as Vegas. I'm kind of a novice in the electronic/techno music realm, so take that into consideration when reading this, but I've listened to enough over the years and have amassed enough electronic cd's, both albums by a single artist as well as compilations, to know what to expect from different groups who've made a reputation for having a certain type of sound. Tweekend

As all other reviews will tell you.. Vegas is clearly the best Crystal Method CD. Tweekend does not top Vegas by any means but is easily my second favorite Method CD. If you are a Crystal Method fan, you should feel no anxiety about purchasing Tweekend. It's different than Vegas but PHD, Wild, Sweet and Cool, You Know its Hard, Ten Miles back and Tough Guy are all solid cuts. As others will state it is a little bass heavy but I like it that way. Tweekend is a nice compliment to any Method fan collection.

Vegas (Deluxe Edition)

Man, I can't believe it's already been over 10 years since The Crystal Method originally released Vegas...and I was 18 at the time! (I feel so old.) I bought TCM's Vegas when a friend introduced me to it after we had listened to the Spawn soundtrack and I had told him that the first track ((Can't You)Trip Like I Do; By: TCM and Filter) was my favorite on the album. Well, just like "Mary Jane" being a gateway to other drugs, Vegas was my gateway to Electronica music!

I bought this Deluxe Edition of Vegas for 3 main reasons. (Listed in order of importance.)

While London was met with mixed reviews, the Soundtrack that The Crystal Method put together to support the album was such a beautiful thing. The sad part in saying that is the fact that it was a somewhat hidden gem because of the nature of the beast it was meant to support and, had I not tripped over it while shopping for new sounds, I wouldn't have noticed the soundtrack at all. Moreover, had the soundtrack not proudly displayed that it featured an "Original Score" by The Crystal Method I wouldn't have known this even if I would have tripped across it, and the only reaosn I found this listen was because I picked up the album to move it aside and then saw what it was advertising.
It feels good to find hidden gems in our forays.

Community Service II

their second worst cd. the beats are too fast, the vocals are distracting and annoying, a slapdash production, the drum beats are pedestrian. i recommend crystal method's tweekend, vegas, london soundtrack, legion of boom and even "now is the time" from their millenium remix but this cd simply sucks. it should have never been released; it just slings mud on their reputation. the best of crystal method is dark and has atmosphere; not one cut on this cd works for me. wish i could say something nice, but SAVE YOUR MONEY - or if you don't have one of the above cds, buy them instead. who wants music without 1. a good groove 2. a good melody 3. good vocals 4. some kind of atmosphere?

Community Service

This album illustrates how TCM go beyond your average DJs mixing beats. With Community Service we realize that the group is creative enough not just to make their own music, but literally create alternatives for others. If you are familiar with any of the songs that our remixed in this album, I can guarantee you there will be no disappointment. This isn't my favorite TCM album, but it is definitely the one that impressed me most of the artists' talent and potential.

The Legion of Boom DVD-AUDIO

Great sounding 5.1 DTS audio from The Crystal Method. I thought it sounded good on my Logitech Z-5500's but then I listened to it on a real home theater setup and was blown away by some of the bass. Sitting in the middle of the room the music takes you for a ride.
