I'd heard the arguments both for and against "Wicked" (people love it or hate) so thought I'd have a listen. I really enjoyed it. So really great songs (and some fun ones too) as well as great singing. Even as I was listening to it for the first time I wanted to sing along!

Really enjoyed it!

This a a good CD. Talented singers and the great songs. But these certainly are not the originals, but they do not really pretend to be.

Godspell

I just saw a new production of "Godspell" with an updated script (minus the original "Clown Theme") at a local theatre. I forgot how much I liked the music as I hadn't seen the musical in years. I ordered the CD right when I got home from the show!!

i really enjoyed this movie.
Saw the play and was hooked on it.
People need to be reminded how we got here on this earth
People also need to learn more about God and life in general.
Life would be better in they had him in their life.
Looking up to him is the best thing anyone could ever do for themselves.
Godspell makes you feel good about life after seeing it.
The songs in Godspell are also uplifting and make you happy.

Pippin (A Decca Broadway Original Cast Album)

I saw Pippin eons ago on Broadway. This CD brings back all the excitement. The music is great and the sound is excellent!

I HIGHLY recommend this CD.

My CD came with 3 bonus tracks:
"I Guess I'll Miss the Man" by the Supremes
"Corner of the Sky" by The Jackson 5
"Morning Glow" by Michael Jackson

I confess though I've listened to the album quite a few times, I cannot bring myself to listen to the bonus tracks. It just seems so wrong to have someone else sing these songs. By the time I get to the end of the CD, the story is done.

Wicked (Karaoke)

I purchased this 2-CD karaoke version of the Broadway musical "Wicked" for my star-to-be daughter for Christmas, and it has been a huge hit. First of all, the fact that it was recorded using actual cast members makes this a top-notch production. The music CD is fully orchestrated, rather than a quickly-assembled group of musicians or a synthesized accompaniment that so many karaoke CDs tend to be. And having the music in the actual key and tempo of the musical allows you to really "be" part of the play. I would highly recommend this for the casual singer or the star-to-be.

In the history of musicals, sometimes we find pieces that outshine by its originality and "step forward" attitude. This is the case. Nothing compares to the songs, lyrics and orchestrations of this musical. Socially engaged and dramatically focused, it makes it very different from anything you've heard before, although it might be compared to RUNAWAYS and HAIR. An excellent trilogy of social musicals looking for something more than pure entertainment.

The Hunchback Of Notre Dame: An Original Walt Disney Records Soundtrack

Needless to say, this is one of Disney's best soundtracks. The remastered version is definitely an improvement. Why it was only released in Europe I don't know but it is worth going to the trouble to get it. Highly recommended.

This show is wonderful!!!!! I was looking for the full cd not just highlighted songs and this cd was it!!! VERY HAPPY!!!
