Death Row's Snoop Doggy Dogg Greatest Hits

by: Snoop Doggy Dogg

Release Date March 07, 2006
This is just an attempt for Suge & Death Row to keep eating off Snoop since he left and their label fell apart. However this cd is tight (it has 6 or 7 previously unreleased songs and the rest are mostly from "Doggystyle" w/ 2 from " Tha Doggfater" and one from "The Chronic"). The unreleased songs are pretty good quality and if you like Snoop they're good ones to have, but I'd download them from online (and not support Death Row's "eat off Snoop 6 years later" effort) since you probably have most of the CD already if you are a fan.

#1 - 10 (classic from "The Chronic" f/ Dr. Dre)
#2 - 9.5 (off "Dead Man Walkin" CD f/ Swoop G)
#3 - 10 (classic fom "Doggystyle")
#4 - 9 (f/ Nate Dogg - unreleased song)
#5 - 9 (from ... Read More:

This is one of the best hip hop albums you will ever hear. Dr. Dre puts his beats in perfect syncronization with the Dogg's lyrics. It is just so smooth. Everyone knows about the high quality of Gin and Juice and Who Am I?, but songs like Tha Shiznit, Gz and Hustlas and Pump Pump are where the album truly shines. It is extremely easy to listen to the whole album all the way through and want to listen to it again and again. A home run for hip hop and music!

Dead Man Walkin

by: Snoop Doggy Dogg

Release Date October 31, 2000
Is there any point to owning this collection of rejected work that even Snoop Dogg himself didn't want released? Unless you're a hardcore fan of Doggy Dogg, then no. Some of the songs, like 'Too Black', 'County Blues', and 'Change Gon Come' are aiight... but that's only because the rest of the album is whack and forgettable. There's a reason why Snoop Dogg didn't want this album released, the vast majority of the songs on here are bland and forgettable. Skip it.

Tha Dogg: Best of the Works

by: Snoop Doggy Dogg

Release Date December 23, 2003
I'm a big fan of Snoop Doggy Dogg so I gave this five stars for the music but the production could have been better. This is a best of CD and therefor it is missing tracks like Tha Doggfather, 21 Jumpstreet, Midnight Love, Head Doctor, Eastside Party, Vapors, Doggy Dogg World, Dre Day, Wanted Dead Or Alive, Sixx Minutes, Lil Ghetto Boy and probably more after that. It's not such a bad idea to purchase this because it has a collection of great tracks like What's My Name, Tha Shiznit, Snoop Bounce, Gin & Juice, Snoop's Upside Ya Head, Murder Was The Case, Up Jump Tha Boogie, Nuthin But A G Thang and more but don't expect to get all of Snoop Doggy Dogg's best songs by getting this. However it's a bit better than Death Row's Snoop Doggy Dogg Greatest Hits seeing it has all great tracks ... Read More:
