God damn it, it's just beyond my belief as to how someone who can drop a straight classic from top to bottom like this here, can then later became so terrible. Okay, so comparing everything else his done to this might be a bit harsh but he changed his style completely after Deathrow Records. Its one hell of a shame considering how talented he can be, proven by albums like this.
There is seriously, absolutely no disappointments on this album to speak of. Every track, even the ones that don't seem to have much Snoop at all are "at least" excellent by my book. Ego Trippin'

I really won't go real deep into this one on why it's not favorited by many of Snoop fans. First of all, anyone with a half of ounce of common sense would have realized that this "Doggystyle 2" is never going to come out. Second, Snoop does his little experimental songs, which might send many opinions in a different direction. With his lead single "Sensual Seduction" has him singing a few notes, which really didn't appeal to this listener. Another off the wall song was when Snoop goes the country route on "My Medicine" featuring Everlast (All Hip Hop said this is what happens when you are making too much money and are bored with rap...lol). Hearing "Cool" reminds me of an early 80's retro beat, which sounds very annoying.

No Limit Top Dogg

No Limit Top Dogg, Snoop's second album on No Limit Records, harkens back to the sound of his Death Row days while keeping a slight No Limit sound edge to it. Although it brings more balance to the album, whereas Da Game is to Be Sold Not to Be Told was No Limit's signature Beats By the Pound soundscape, it surprisingly doesn't always work as well. Standout tracks like "Bitch Please" featuring an always on point Xzibit and "Ghetto Symphony" featuring a slew of No Limit and DPG affiliated guests show that both sounds can work. The combination is interesting, but the album sputters and staggers it's way to the finish line clocking in at 21 tracks.
