Designs for Automotion

by: Snapcase

Release Date January 25, 2000
ok, snapcase is no longer a band. but, that doesnt mean these guys should be unheard. if you havent heard them, buy this CD. and then buy End Transmission, then buy Bright Flashes. these take rock/hardcore/punk whatever you want to call it, to a different level. maybe not as technical or crazy or as heavy as a lot of bands out there, but these guys are a different animal.

i recommend Every Time I Die (also from buffalo), hopesfall, botch, at the drive-in

Steps

by: Snapcase

Release Date October 24, 1995
You don't know how much I love Snapcase. I listen to their music all the time, and their recent farewell has made me get into the band even more, as I have been missing out during all those years. If you are a person like me who likes hardcore, punk and metal, you will love Snapcase. This EP has some of their best work on it. It's only four songs, but it's worth the money. None of those songs are on their other releases. The best song is "Steps". The bass line, the guitar, it's a masterpiece. Thank Snapcase for redefining music. Pick up their other releases, especially the classics "Progression Through Unlearning" and "Designs For Automotion".

CD-Charts Music : End Transmission

End Transmission

by: Snapcase

Release Date September 24, 2002
I have owned End Transmission since it came out in 2002, and it is one of my favorite cd's by Snapcase. It is a cd I never get tired of. Granted all of their music was great. End transmission was a slightly different musical change for them, many of the songs are a bit more melodic at first, but just as powerful in sound and meaning as their earlier releases. It is a shame that this great band had to break up, they were a truly great band and will be missed!

Lookinglasself

by: Snapcase

Release Date January 01, 1995
The group flows in and out of rhythm into sharp instant bursts. The album is overall very consistent and doesn't deviate much from begining to end and I like that kind of tempo in an album. As far as the production goes don't blame the producers/mixers for your lack of adjusting the equalizer or controls on your own stereo. Just lacks a bit of bass but the drumming is outstanding with catchy solo bursts on guitar and drums.
I would not consider this group hardcore since I've listened to hardcore and it is in the likes of the company Renegade Hardware. Hardcore to me is hard crush techno.

Bright Flashes

by: Snapcase

Release Date November 04, 2003
great album. take hardcore and mix a little pink floyd-esque trippiness and you get bright flashes. this is my favorite snapcase cd and is always in my top 10 influential bands list.

Snapcase / Boy Sets Fire

by: Snapcase, Boy Sets Fire

Release Date August 17, 1999
It should be noted that "Truth Hits Everybody" is a Police cover. Snapcase have to be one of the most diversified bands in the scene right now.

This was the first actual metal Cd that i got and I got it when my mom bought it for me for Christmas when it first came out. Before i had this I had no idea who slipknot, hatebreed, kittie, snapcase or any of the other bands were. Now I have seen Slipknot live, Hatebreed live twice and Kittie live and and it was an experience like no other. If your new to metal or if you want a great compilation cd, you have to get this one. It has some great new artist as well as some great established bands like Gwar, Six Feet Under and Exodus. I would reccomend this Cd to anyone who likes metal or anyone wanting to hear something different
