I saw Shinedown on Jay Leno, and it isn't often that a band impresses me. I bought the CD and am very pleased with it. Of course, there are a few songs I don't particularly care for, but the majority of them are really great. I'm glad I made the (small) investment for the CD. It was certainly worth it.

From the first few times I listened to this CD I knew it was going to be an instant classic. Not only did they turn me into a Shinedown addict immediately, they introduced me to other bands along the same sound, such as Alter Bridge. Us and Them is a great CD don't get me wrong, but this one completely destroys it!

I heard SHINEDOWN's old stuff and met them this 08' summer when their new stuff was just coming out, and I fell more in love with the soul of their music. I had to get the limited edition. I am addicted to the song "If you only knew." I must highly recommend!

For starters I meant to give this 5 stars. The 4 man group from Jacksonville, FL, Shinedown, came correct with this album, this is about my 720th review and over 600 of them are rap album reviews but I do like some alternative music and this is one of the better albums I have heard. I'd have like to get the re-release of this with the remake of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man" but oh well. Back tho the album, with 12 songs it's not the longest but it delivers. It has a classic, 3 ok songs, and the other 8 are good or real good songs, no weak spots on the whole album. For fans of alternative music I'd say this is a must have.

I'd only barely heard of Shinedown when I read the reviews on Amazon and then listened to a few tracks. I got the CD and it hasn't left my CD player once. I absolutely LOVE this band and this CD! The singer's voice is incredible and has a wide range. The music is beautiful, but hard enough for a Disturbed fan like me. If you do nothing else, buy this CD.
