I only knew a few Sara Evans songs, so I was pleasantly surprised by how good she is, and how good this Greatest Hits collection is. I'd recommend this CD to any lover of country music.
Release Date October 04, 2005
After listening to this album along with Born to fly for years, and I have not heard the whole " restless" album yet ;why is Sara so underrated?
Her songs are strong, her voice sweet and effortless and not to mention catchy. She is very talented as much as or more than other country artists today. Hmmmm
Release Date August 19, 2003
All I can say is that I would crawl over a mile of broken glass to hear this girl sing "Backseat Of A Greyhound Bus" and "Niagara".
There are other fine tracks, and some are a bit uneven but for those two tracks I would sing the praises of Sara Evans. These two songs can break a man's heart and if they don't, your feelings must surely are dead.
Release Date October 27, 1998
This is a terrific sophomore effort from Sara. "No Place That Far" is a slight departure from her debut album, "Three Chords and the Truth". "No Place.." is more of a modern-day country sound. All of the tracks are flawless. It starts out with an upbeat song, "The Great Unknown" which talks about taking chances and just living your life. Then it's got mid-tempo songs like "Cryin' Game" and "Fool I'm A Woman". It has great ballads too such as "No Place That Far", "The Knot Comes Untied" and "Time Won't Tell". Furthermore, it has fun songs like "Love Don't Be A Stranger" and "Cupid". This cd has a wonderful mixture of songs and it has something for everyone on here. This is a solid effort and I highly recommend it.

After listening to Sara Evans perform at the 2007 White House Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony I went home and ordered every one of her CDs (I'm listening to "Born To Fly" as I write this) and I am playing them constantly. I can't explain what it is about her music that is so different, but you'll understand when you hear it yourself. I just love her voice and the "feeling" that transcends her words. I'm not a huge country fan and am selective about the country CDs I buy, so if that tells you anything I think you'll really love her music... I just feel so good listening to it. I hope this helps you decide to give her a try!

"Three Chords and the Truth" serves as a great country album debut. Sara Evans is such a talented singer and is such a great icon to country music. This album is filled with twangy, traditional, pure country tunes. Some of the highlights are "Shame About That", "Imagine That", "Three Chords and the Truth", "Even Now" and "True Lies". Even the slow ballads are wonderful. There are no fillers; every song is enjoyable. This album is 100% country with no pop sounds. I never get tired of listening to this album.

I heard this song ("New Again") a few years after my sister was killed in a car crash, and it just brings a sense of peace and calm to my heart. Yes, its tough to think about, but seriously, peace just radiates from this song. Brad and Sara's beautiful voices just sound so wonderful, and the melody just flows so well. Again, the peace and calmness this song gave me is just the best healing anything has ever given me after horrible time in life. Anyone who is suffering from a loss would find peace in this beautiful song .

When I first heard the soundtrack to CLTG I had mixed feelings.
One of the problems I had with it was that every single child on the cd over sings every song. It reminded me of Rent only with kids (Not that I didn't like Rent cause I did, but thats another review) and it was just too much. Also the song lyrics are no more complex that a saturday morning cartoon. After the first listen I put it away for about two monthes.
Then last month I got it back out and relistened, While the problems still existed I listend to the recording with a diffrent state of mind and found that I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The songs and stories took me back to when I was younger Granted i'm only 19 but...) and i had a nice trip down memory lane.

Sara Evan's third outing starts to show the development of her not only as a singer but writer as well, helping to pen 6 out of the 11 (12 import) tracks. The CD has some great songs, and I'm happy to report that the highlights are those she co-wrote, the sensitive "Why Should I Care", the more uptempo title track, and "You Don't", a gem that deserves a listen. Bruce Hornsby's "Every Little Kiss" is a great final track, with Bruce sitting in, of course. While listening to this CD, I couldn't help feel that she is too restrained, having seen her live, I know her capabilities as a singer, to capture a room, excite you and keep you excited. I feel that this recording suffers from over-production, though Sara is listed as co-producer, so maybe thats the way ... Read More:
