Salvador certainly has inherited some musical skill from his famous father Carlos, but he has a more modern style and sensibility younger listeners will like. The music on this album is a lot like the style of music found on Ozomatli or deSol CDs, mixing Afro-Cuban rhythms with rap and R&B elements. Santana gets some help from a few friends on 4 cuts, including one with his father playing lead guitar. Frankly, I can't wait to hear the second CD from this band... and hope they stick around for a while.

I bought this CD because it has the theme from Jeeves & Wooster. But what a fabulous array of music I experienced when I played the whole disc. Viveza has a captivating sound when playing Brahms as well as Duke Ellington. The Selection from The Three Penny Opera by Kurt Weill made me want to sing and dance.

There voices are calming, and their use of instruments in different musical styles is exceptional. It's not cheesy like some other Spanish Christian recordings.
This CD contains most of the songs from the older "Con Poder" album (in live version on this CD) plus a handful of songs from other albums. (Basically what I'm trying to say is you don't need this album AND the Con Poder album, just buy one of them.)

From the very first song, this album keeps you on your feet! Salvador's "So Natural" was the perfect addition to my collection. The songs were fun and funky, all while praising God. This head-bobbing, toe-tapping cd won't disappoint!

Narciso Yepes is my favorite classical guitarist. I was delighted to hear a couple guitar concertos I had never heard before. Ohana, Bacarisse, and Ruiz-Pipo were great discoveries. Again, Yepes is the BEST. Strongly recommended.

The music on the movie makes the soundtrack seem worth waiting. The songs are slow and hard to hear. They must have been replayed at certain segements over and over. They CD is not worth the wait. I w liked the version played on the movie than on the CD.
