I was excited to get this as a gift. Then I played it. I expected some fun and Sambas. Pretty dull, very little cello, not even pleasant as background music. I put my copy in the pile for Good Will.

My nephew mentioned his desire to hear some classical music (Yo-Yo Ma, especially) on the boring trips back & forth from college. He really seemed to enjoy receiving the CD for Christmas!

I am once again knocked out by the artistry of my favorite female vocalist.Rosa brings so much emotion to each track that if she were an actor she would get an Oscar for this new release. I especially like her use of space and timing. Singing in and out and around the wonderful musicians who accompany her so well. I can not stop listening to this disc.

This is the first bossa nova album I've ever purchased, but I've always enjoyed Stan Getz's forays into bossa nova, so I figured I'd give it a try based on the rave reviews I'd read. Well, it certainly was worth it. This is definitely an album I'll be listening to frequently and urging friends to do the same.

WhenI first bought this cd I wasn't ready for it. To hear music so straight foward is intense. Rosa puts so much emotion into each song. To hear a voice so free and without electronic enhancement is a rare thing these days. This is as close as I have gotten to being present at her live performance, and I can,t wait until she tours the U.S. again. I won't miss her. Can't wait until her next relese.
