The songs on this cd are a bit more "adult" than on the others. I really enjoy, but the kids don't really ask for this one.

It was a great recording. Very original....had that old time feel to it. Although the sound was not the quality of current day recording...it was really great!

This is a super soundtrack. The songs appear in the same order as they do in the movie, so it's easy for young fans to follow along. Adults may have forgotten how many great songs are in this movie. This one is a good value!

The CD as such is just fine. It even came sealed and was not damaged in any way.

But if you are looking for a CD of the original LP, you will have to look further if this bothers you as much as it bothers me: in the cut "Fidelity Fiduciary Bank", the two lines starting with "While stand the banks of England" are missing. Instead, on the CD (not just the MP3 file, but on the CD itself) you get a few moments of silence.

Of course, you may not care about this.

Another point: the volume of the CD/MP3 files is /much lower/ than usual. This is a "digitally remastered" recording, which may or may not be related to the low volume level. The low volume level, of course, may or may not matter to you. Since I use a Windows computer, ... Read More:

Finally the soundtrack to that wonderful movie! I first saw that movie when I was in elementary school and loved it ever since. I have seen this movie so many times now and I can watch it over and over again... and now listen to the songs over and over again... The music is amazing (by the Sherman Brothers, who also wrote "Mary Poppins" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"). The story is so detailed and realistic for those times and full of humor and subtle irony. It was produced with a love to detail. I can unconditionally recommend that soundtrack. I have seen most Cinderella movies (old and new, musical and fairy tale, ballet versions etc.) and this is my most favorite! Now I can sing along when I drive, work, take a shower, ...

If you could, just for a moment, return to the days when fairy godmothers were real, when you really could turn four white mice into four white horses - then just buy this CD for a few smiles, a lot of memories, and the original Rodgers and Hammerstein tunes. This CD took me way back to when magic was there, and now it makes me wonder, everytime I listen to it, if maybe the magic isn't still there? Maybe I should just call on my fairy godmother..... A true heirloom of a CD.
