I have always loved this musical. Yul Bryner as the "King" was wonderful. I have never been able to picture anyone but him in this roll. When I listen to the music I can picture him on the stage performing the songs and creating the role, since I had the opportunity to see him do so on the stage. This is one of my favorite CD's and I listen to it often.

If you prefer having Andre's music in CD format you'll enjoy the selections on this CD. The DVD is a bonus piece with selections from several of his other DVD shows. It's a good DVD sampler, but only whets your appetite for more. If you prefer sitting down to a full DVD concert with Andre, then this CD/DVD Bonus Boxed Set may not be for you. I regard the full DVD 'Live in Vienna' as better value for money.

The first time I saw Kristin Chenoweth in a movie was the TV "Music Man". Just lately I listened to the "Wicked" soundtrack, and after that, I've been listening to Kristin's CDs whenever I can. This one is a jazzy, Broadway-type CD with fun, engaging songs. She's a different type of singer, and while not everyone might enjoy her voice, I really do. If you like Broadway, jazz, drama, romance, or just fun, catchy songs, this is a CD for you.
