Take Californiaby: Propellerheads Release Date April 06, 1999 I normally don't purchase singles. But when I finally broke down and got the US Release of "DecksanDrumsandRockandRoll", I couldn't get enough of it. So, I decided to hunt down every single I could. I found this one for $2.99 and it's one of the best $2.99 I've spent on a CD. The 2 track (Take California and Party with Jungle Brothers) single really makes this one worth it. Back to hunting down more singles :) |

History Repeatingby: Propellerheads Release Date December 01, 1998 When Shirley Bassey, at the age of 60, was approached by the Propellerheads to do "History Repeating", she initially turned them down and suggested that they give the song to Tina Turner. However they insisted that the song was written and arranged for her, and Bassey finally agreed to record it. The results of this dancible Propellerheads/Bassey jazz hit, is a whole new legion of Gay fans and youth in general. The song became part of the soundtrack for the movie "There's Something About Mary", and was also used in a Jaguer commercial, helping to re-introduced Bassey's voice to a lot of Americans who are to young to remember "Goldfinger". Propellerheads must have about 40 samples in their Velvet Pants. Can't they do anything original!!! Who allows this? |

Extended Playby: Propellerheads Release Date June 15, 1999 This Cd contains the amazing effects that one would expect of Alex and Dave, the Propellerheads. Crash (the track heard in Austin Powers 2) is a fun spy-groove romp reminscent of Spybreak!, while 360 is always a fun track (excellent lyrical skills by De la Soul) and You Want It Back can be played at any party for great breakbeats, scratches and The Jungle Brothers. The reason to buy this Cd, however, is the exclusive Props Vote of Gratitude, which is simply a free-style rap by Alex (that's right: The DJ becomes the rapper.) Absolutely hilarious. It's a shrot CD, but the two new tracks make it a must own for any Propellerhead junkie. |
